A group of Boy Scouts leaders may face criminal charges after purposely knocking over an ancient Utah desert rock formation and posting a video of the incident online, authorities say
The men were leading a group of 14 to 16-year-old Boy Scouts on a trip to Goblin Valley State Park when they said they noticed the top of the rock formation was loose and feared it was dangerous.
"This is about saving lives," Dave Hall, who shot the video, told The Associated Press on Friday. "One rock at a time."

I don’t think the attacks are because of the rock. I think they’re against the Boy Scouts. They’re attempt at destroying them with gay infiltration didn’t work as well as they anticipated.
Idiots! Charge and fine them to the hilt.
Actually, for the record, when the BSA revised their “gay” policy some months ago, one of the troops that immediately violated the rules and marched in a “Pride Parade” was in Utah. Have to add, there was a Crusader came from I believe Idaho who may well have spurred that troop to do that. So, we never know, maybe there is a chance, that troop could have done this.
Notice how we kill over 3000 babies a day without blinking, but were getting all excited about some rocks”
...POST OF THE DAY!!!
"Rocks have rights too!"
“Good. I say proper punishment is for them to put it back like it was - hand-tools only.”
Agreed.
Put it back as it was or sit in jail until someone else does it for you at your expense.
*ALL* vandals should be made sever examples of. Singapore has about the right idea: cane the crap out of them, let ‘em sit in jail for a few days or weeks, make them restore it and then fine ‘em enough that they are never going to do such a thing again.
Well the earth is only 6000 years old, so I really don’t see how these rocks could be that much older.
Looks like it will be easy to put this big rock back where it was.
The adult speaking in the video sounds like a fairy.
The Grand Canyon—it’s just a hole in the ground! Niagara Falls? Just a lot of water going over a cliff!
Yeah, and mine is POST OF THE DAY too, this is a State Park, Utah may well have NO abortions if the individual statets regulated abortion.
That kind of reasoning per forest fires? Huh?
Once the Mormon religion became supportive, the gay thing was a done deal, Bishop Romney had pushed the idea since the early 90s.
For sure some get more upset over rocks being toppled than abortions taking place.
Here in my state, when a flightseeing plane crashed into the side of a mountain, killing all five aboard, The U.S.F.S. required a special permit before rescue crews could go in and cut a few trees down so the helicopter could remove the bodies.
I don't have any sympathy for the earth worshipping types, especially when it comes to them rabidly demanding punishment for an incident like this....
The rock formation is about 170 million years old, Utah State Parks spokesman Eugene Swalberg said. The park in central Utah is dotted with thousands of the eerie, mushroom shaped sandstone formations.
The rock formation may very well be that old, however it changes every day. Gravity takes it’s toll... With so little support, this particular rock was going down, be it seismic or an animal leaning against it.
To suggest that this rock had been sitting there in that condition is disingenuous.
If you could type in English with complete thoughts and sentences it would be helpful.
How can there be charges — they said they did it for the children.
It’s not my fault if you can’t read.
The rock could have fallen and killed a gay person. It was best to move the rock.
A lot of people go to see them. Including the ones who pushed one over. They were there, unlike the outraged mob.
My point is this is being used by the left based on outrage of liberals who generally aren’t the types going to see such things.
It’s a scam and hyped up.
I am not addressing their actions.
Do you think they should go to prison?
It is your judgement this is “earth worshipping”. Your assumption.
