An open letter to John Boehner
Speaker Boehner,
Why did you divide the party?
Where would we be right now had you not divided the party with your purge of conservatives from key committee positions in 2012? Your rejection of the fiscal conservatives was particularly obtuse as it was a slap in the face to those who had helped the Republicans win the house in the first place. When the conservatives pushed to defund the Affordable Care Act why did our party leadership reject them? Obamacare was from the start every bit as much economic policy as it was health care policy. A law that fundamentally transforms 1/6th of the economy is fundamentally an economic policy. Had we framed the debate properly the tactics of Mr. Cruz, Mr. Lee et al would have been properly framed as one of several tactics. You told us for years that the GOP was together on its opposition to this law so the approach to defunding and overturn must have necessarily been vigorous from the start. Alas, it was not.
2. Why didnt you explain to the American people why the ACA is a train wreck?
You more than any other representative have the forum to articulate the problem. I see you on television more than the president. As the leader of the GOP in the House it is your

He’s in on the fix. He’s been promised a life of ease and luxury (yeah, right) for giving into the communists, for being their little puppet. He’s not a conservative. Not even close. He’s part of the bigger scheme to tear down America, and we’re the fools to think he’s any form of ally.
Time to take the jerk down!
P.S.:
Respectfully,

How to do it because the voting booth isn't any answer.
When are Republicans going to learn?
All they have to do is to look at what the Democrats are doing.
They are united.
They NEVER talk down their own.
They NEVER worry about sounding radical and alienating the middle.
They NEVER give an inch, even after they win. Just look at Obama, after this latest showdown, does he say now we can all just get along? That we are all friends now???
-No, he continues to demonize and attack, and attack, and attack, just like Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals said he should.
WE have to learn to attack, and not give an inch and not expect to EVER get their approval because we NEVER will until the point we are totally defeated.
Boehner is delusional thinking anything less will work. He should be replaced.
We just may be surprised how we can become a majority again,..if we do.
good to see, but you need to retitle this thread.
no indication of what its about. kept skipping over
“just another rant against Boehner” until i read it
and found out there may be a primary challenger to Boehner
who needs our support .
I’ve tried to say good things about him but its now crystal clear Boehner is a big part of the problem.. and needs to be replaced ASAP
with respect, I’m sick and tired of reading “open letters” from bloggers and pundits
With very little respect:
Your post is an admission to being more than a little slow.
If you don’t like reading them, then all you have to do is stop reading them.
Used to hear a term for people like oMao, I think it was Oreo?, FreeJack? Where did I hear that?
Boner is a sellout.
No Benghazi, No F&F, No investigation ever goes anywhere and his middle name should be CAVE!
In fact 90% plus in both houses will get reelected.
Because merica took the stupid pill.
Well I’m actually the guy running against him. But if you would rather we keep the status quo I suppose each is entitled to his opinion.
I’m met with two different tea party groups. They are working together with several other local groups to try to vet me and get an endorsement together.
Social issues run a wide gamut. Many consider 2nd amendment to be a social issue. I don’t. It is constitutional law and should not be questioned, softened or otherwise abused in any way. I’m against gay marriage and pro-life.

The Supreme Court declared that Obamacare was a tax. But taxes are, by law, supposed to originate in the house of representatives. Why doesn’t the house GOP just say that they intend to follow the law as it has been backed by the SCOTUS?
They say they are simply funding the entire legal government as it stands. And since the SCOTUS has said that Obamacare is a tax, it needs to originate in the House and they originate it. See if it passes. Otherwise, according to the SCOTUS and current law, it is not a valid tax.
