DAMN!! Was this just another bill that we had to pass before we knew what was in it? It's worse than you think. The McConnell "compromise" redefined the method of raising the debt limit. Congress has to agree and vote NOT to increase it. If they do get their act together and successfully vote to STOP a debt increase (hardly likely with Harry Reid in the Senate), the toddler in chief can simply veto it. If Congress can't override the veto - baddaboom - the toddler in chief can do what he wants with the debt ceiling.

The solution to return control to the House and Senate would be a bill repealing the "agreement" with a veto proof vote of House and Senate. There is a way around the toddler in chief and it requires the same level of commitment from House and Senate. The Senate continues to be the problem. The lack of spine in the House is deplorable as well.
