The local Gannett generipaper ran a (somewhat shocking!) series of articles about a young guy who was starting up a donut baking company.
He had been a baker and decided to go off on his own.
This was entirely wholesale and delivery, no customers on site at all.
He rented a cheap building, the first thing that happened was OSHA came in and made him spend 15 grand on handicap accessible male/female rest rooms.
His total staff was two other young guys...

I saw a similar thing inflicted on a specialty "ice" skating facility. The floor was plastic wiped with silicone oil. I didn't enjoy skating on it, but the young ice hockey players found it suitable. The facility was required to install handicapped accessible bathrooms and showers for males and females. The only users of the facilities were young male hockey players. After a considerable investment in the facility, it was simply cheaper to shut the doors vs complying with the asinine requirement.
