Rush, I am doing good today because we all knew at some point that the Senate “GOP” would force an awful compromise. The frustrating point is how readily willing Boehner was, but again, not a huge surprise.
In the end, this battle just drew the lines a little more in focus.
It is now firmly the Democrat-Republicans vs We the People.
One of those engines is the $3 billion dollar bribe to build a dam in Kentucky.
If what you steal is valuable enough, it is no longer theft, but becomes public policy.
If I stole $3 billion, I would never see the light of day.
If our Republican leader steals $3 billion in the form of a bribe for the vote, it is a reasonable compromise to keep the country from being disliked.
Do you have the numbers on the debt being cut inhalf under Obama - I thought he said that in his little endzone dance speech today.
Good math....and the announcement was made that this GRAND BARGAIN was funding at the sequester levels.....
Oh, and just remember, this “raising of the debt ceiling” did not mean that we are going to go further into debt, it just meant that we can now pay the bills that Congress had already approved the funding for.
Perhaps Boehner and McConnell could have at least negotiated for Reid and Obama to at least go back to ANNUAL BUDGETING instead of running the federal government at a constant state of panic, but that was probably too much to ask.
Why the Shutdown is a Republican Victory

Hi!
Hey all! busy this morning so not a lot of comments from me today.
I know, I know. Try to survive without me.
I mean, hey, I survived the shutdown without having to eat the cat, well, she is recovering, but that is from eye surgery, not me being a cattibal.
Rush,
If you look at the numbers, it is impossible that we “are at the 2008 spending level.” We know the gov takes in $200B a month and we know that this $1T debt ceiling increase will only get us through January! Hence, it is clear that the plan is to spend $450B a month!
The funny thing is that 3 bill approved for a dam today may be shovel ready in 10 years after all the environmental “concerns” are satisfied and most likely shelved before then...
I need a link to this article or chart that Rush is discussing.....
It will also pay for the planning, engineering, and surveying costs, and building permits only.
Hello overtaxed guys and gals

Speaker Boehner:
This man is the only Boner I know that can still micturate on the People and the Constitution while still awake. That takes a lot of skill.
