Given a choice between being unarmed in a rural setting or armed in an urban setting, I’d opt for rural—but rural and armed seems clearly the superior option, if possible.
It is not relevant to what I was trying to say about whether I live in a rural or urban setting.
Full disclosure, where I live the population density is 641 per sq mile - but I am only about one good afternoon’s walk from a town of 70,000.
And yes, I am armed.
Cuban Leaf summed it up well in his post above - there’s a difference between being prepared and looking forward to it.
As I read the posts here and other places, there is always a good mix of prepared people (and no matter HOW MUCH YOU THINK YOU ARE PREPARED, the REALITY WOULD BE VASTLY DIFFERENT!!!) and those who seem to look forward to it like shooting fish in a barrel or some kind of new-fangled ultimate violence video game or “Survivor” rerun.
If the only answer a person has to civil disruption is “Time to start shooting people” well then I kinda hope those folks are the first ones to see the inside of a FEMA camp.
