(CNSNews.com) - If Congress passes legislation deferring a decision on the debt ceiling and stopgap government funding, Republicans should anticipate another crisis in six to eight weeks, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said on Monday.
"We have to anticipate Ted Cruz is going to try to do this again. Ted Cruz and 30 or 40 people in the House. And we have to start going after him by name. I've been doing it all along. I wish I had more company on it."
King said "we just can't have" Republicans or Ted Cruz second-guessing the final outcome of the current stalemate.
"What's going to happen, months from now, after this is resolved, he's going to say, 'Republicans were on the edge of winning. But they lost their nerve in the end, and they caved in. This time it's going to work.' I think he's going to rewrite history. And we have to make sure he doesn't do it. And it's really time to speak out against him. And also again, there's about 30 or 40 (conservatives) in the House who are going to go with him. We can't let John Boehner and Eric Cantor be put into this position again. They told us in mid-September this would be a disaster."
King said Republicans all over the country are going to suffer because of what Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has done: "I don't care where you're from, what Ted Cruz is doing is affecting the entire country."
King said "there's no doubt that Democrats are winning" right now, but he also said that President Obama needs to "play a more aggressive role" in bringing the two sides together. - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/rep-peter-king-we-have-start-going-after-ted-cruz-name#sthash.GiHprG4W.dpuf

This ass wipe is the typical rino/Rockefeller republican. According to him Cruz is supposed to promise what the voters want to hear then tell them to go to hell. Texas should leave this union to people like King and McCain.

When you get that weekly call from the RNC remember the name Peter King and remind them why you will not be giving them a nickel. Let’s make his the most popular name that they hear when they call. Sooner or later they will get the message.

Wait. He’s making believe he’s the only one jumping on Cruz? With an army of RINOs and media whores going there before him, after him, and around him? You can’t fool us. We’re watching.

For the uninitiated:
Googlemap his NY office and make up an address nearby, to get your message through his “not in my district filters”!
I’ve been knocking down gov’t barricades for a long time.

It is most unfortunate, in my opinion, to see the center-right (as represented, here, by Rep. King) pitted against the hard right (as represented, here, by Sen. Cruz). And, for the record, my own views tend to be center-right.
But the disharmony shown here is clearly the handiwork of Rep. King: He seems to be on a mission to delegitimize the junior senator from Texas...

Only someone who is a moderate could classify Senator Ted Cruz and most of FreeRepublic as Hard-Right.
Ted Cruz and most of FreeRepublic represent what's best in America, values and principles. We represent the heart of America.

I guess if youre too cowardly to go after the commie RAT thugs, you might as well go after Republicans.Yeah. Most of them fight like little girls.
Not Ted Cruz, though. He's going to find himself down on the mat looking up at the stars.

I think it's far past “high time” that the “old suits” in Congress, both Repubs and Dems are “put out to pasture”. Move over and let the younger fellas have their turn. You “older” ones just don't want to TURN LOOSE OF THE POWER.....and that's what is partially wrong with Congress. The old goats want to hang onto the power....oh, and don't forget the MONEY that goes with the job. How about you try remembering the original founding Fathers who paid a dollar, so the story goes....to SERVE IN CONGRESS FOR 1YEAR, then GO BACK HOME TO THEIR JOB, rather than MAKE A CAREER out of serving in Congress...have you ever stopped and ask yourself just how in the world are some of them in hock to their eyebrows when they win their first election and they are all rolling in dough by the time they decide to retire? I wonder how that happens. When did you last hear of a Congress person who retired and went back to work at an outside job back in their home state?

I'll be naming Peter King as the one that needs to be called out and the RINOs in the Republican party that side with him and cannot comprehend that Cruz and the “Tea Party” Republicans ARE doing what we sent them to do in D.C.! Going along to get along is NOT how the problems get resolved Mr. King. And we have BIG problems of spending that don't get fixed by upping the credit limit each time the money's gone!

This guy has went far beyond reasonable criticism. Cruz has did nothing to this idiot. He has lost his mind. Has he forgotten that he’s a Republican and opposed to Obamacare? Even a Democrat would be better than this mfr.
