Some comments from those in this earthquake:
Duamguete - I am retired here from the US and never felt anything like this in my life. At first it sounded like a helicopter flying very low, but then the shaking and vibrations continued for 20 seconds. We were fortunate and had no damage but stayed outside and felt after shocks for more than three hours after. We thank The Lord for no damage.
Gingoog City - thats the strongest earthquake i had experienced for my 34 years.
Cebu City - This was the strongest quake EVER
Bacolod - I am from the UK and I have been living in the Philippines about 4 years. This is the worst earthquake that I have experienced. The whole house shook.
Iloilo City - We felt the earthquake here at past 8 in the morning. It was strong. The whole building was shaking.
Dumaguete - We ran outside as our house was madly shaking
Iligan City - We in Iligan City felt the strong shaking of earthquake at 8:15AM today. Street electric cables strongly swayed and our house shook strong we fear that if the shaking last a bit longer it might cause tremendous damage to structures.

I’ve been in my house most of the day here in Ormoc City, Leyte, and it seems as if I feel some shaking every few minutes. It’s probably my imagination running in overtime. I went downtown earlier and that’s all anybody is talking about. Most agree with me though, and feel the constant shaking in their minds, as well.
Your last post to me also included Alex, but the one on Cebu Island is AlexW if that’s the one intended.
How would you like to be the guy sitting in that multi-cab? Looks like quite a ride

Probably a little of both...after shocks can occur..but the mind does come into play as well...Most people are saying the same as you..they keep feeling little shakes...which is actually likely happening as well.
Glad you are safe..And thanks for saying ALEXW rather than just Alex.
How come so many Freepers in the Phillipines?
No, but we had some nice geothermal ones
Bet he knew what it is to “Feel the earth move under his feet!”
Good on them...I hear great things about geothermal....
