Another concern of the ADA is female toplessness downtown, something not currently against the law, but which Council members have noted in meetings recently is a source of complaint from some downtown business owners. State Rep. Tim Moffitt introduced a bill to ban female toplessness (specifically nipples) in public, and Asheville City Council had earlier called for a change in state law to allow them to stop the annual topless rally. But the bill never advanced during this year's legislative session, and the so-called "nipple ban" became the target of some mockery.

Puns incoming...
This thread is nowt without trashy pictures.
What party is Mr. Moffitt?
baby, [I see] it’s cold outside!
Maybe they should ease up on toplessness in return for an increased focus on tatoo parlors. You know, “tit for tat”...

I lived in Asheville 12 years and was there this past weekend. I was disappointed to see so much graffiti and run down buildings. The nut-case liberals have driven a lot of good people out, leaving hippies and homos. Not a place to raise children any more.
As the city became gentrified and new condos built downtown the rents were raised and the hippie biz that brought such variety has been squeezed out and moved to West Asheville or scattered to outlying a few blocks south of Downtown.
The increase of higher priced restaurants and shops is boring. Trendy food presented on presentation plates is the exact opposite the Asheville of 15 years ago.
Remember when women were ladies?
No more. Tramp stamps tongue piercings, other piercings.
Topless , thong bathing suits, lickalotpuss’s, twerking. Hard to find a good woman these days.
Be careful what you wish for, Deadrock. If I recall, Asheville is known for a large lesbian population
Spoilsport.
Moffitt is a Republican.
Hate to be picky, but they are Pioneer hydraulic quick disconnect couplings, male and female halves.
“Hard to find a good woman these days.”
Good women gravitate to good men.
Do a Google image search for Ashville and topless.
I find it unbelievable. All sorts, all ages. No shame.
I have fond memories of Asheville tho I imagine I would not like it anymore.
I worked at a Summer retreat maybe 15 miles East of Asheville. There was no interstate and we would drive there on Tunnel Road. Go through the Beaucatcher tunnel and park near the All Sports Store. Sometimes we would go a few blocks South to JC Penneys but usually we would just walk East on Patton Ave.
After browsing through several stores we would make it to Pack Square and look through Finkelsteins. I would very often buy something as Finkelstein had just the sort of things I liked.
Sometimes we would go watch the Tourists (for a few years the Orioles) then back to the Tourists. Historic McCormic Field was as nice a ball park as you will ever see.
I sort of hate to imagine what Asheville is now.
I’m guessing this is Asheville North Carolina?
Is it too much to ask to post the frigging state?

Oh we’ll, sounds like a place to avoid.
