Texas candidate Jerry Patterson says don’t secede from the union — just throw liberal states out

Remember Rick Perry and secession? That’s so yesterday. Ever-quotable lieutenant governor candidate Jerry Patterson says he has a better idea. Texas shouldn’t secede – it should just make the U.S. better by throwing liberal states out. California, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. “I get lots of questions all the time, ‘Well, we should secede.’ I say, ‘No, I’ve got a better idea. Instead of secession, I’m a proponent of expulsion,’” he told the AP. “I want to kick about four states out of this union.”

Well that would get them out from under their share of the $16 trillion debt. I don’t think they’d complain too much about that.

We could not just throw out all the Blue States, as some of those states pay a
lot of money in taxes to the federal government.

I love Jerry Patterson. He’s a bright and shining Texas star.

He reminds me of Senator Ted Cruz, pro-liberty, intelligent, fearless and outspoken:

As a member of the state Senate, Patterson was author of the concealed handgun law in 1995. And he’s been a bullish proponent of 2nd Amendment rights, including the right to carry guns almost anywhere – including the Capitol in Austin. When a colleague suggested the best way to keep someone from firing a gun inside the Capitol is to ban weapons from the building, Patterson had a different idea: “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to return fire.”

In Texas government, the Lt Governor holds more real power than the Governor.

Revoking citizenship for those who no longer wish to adhere to our Constitution is the best idea.

We keep all the assets, and they change where their ass-sets.

” - - - Just think about how different our country would be if New York and California weren’t the tail wagging the dog. And those other states? It’s not America.”

Jerry Patterson is capable of big National thoughts!

Hope he runs against US Senator John “To HELL with what my voters want!” Cornyn.

Well, yes guess that is true but the answer is to keep them as US Citizens so they have to pay taxes, just remove the states which gets rid of the senators and reps and gives them no standing for electing presidents.

That’s been my idea for a long time. Trade a few of the big cities (New York, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Seattle, San Francisco) and four or five states (Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut) for the Canadian Prairie Provinces.

We should give California to Mexico - just to prove to liberals how stupid non-stop ‘immigration’ is... Five years after California becomes part of Mexico, the people there will be crossing the border into the new United States.
