According to Cenk Uygur, co-host of the Young Turks and a self-described fervent agnostic, We have a lunatic on the court. He is speaking of Justice Antonin Scalia who stated in an interview with New York magazine that he believes in the existence of the devil. In the words of Uygur, that is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.
Really?

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.
Indeed.
All should read the full article, especially the NY Magazine interview excerpt with Scalia that is the topic for young turk.
NYMAG—Isnt it terribly frightening to believe in the Devil?
Scalia—Youre looking at me as though Im weird. My God! Are you so out of touch with most of America, most of which believes in the Devil?
Exactly so. While I myself have no belief in the Devil (or anything supernatural, for that matter), it would be an astonishing admittance of ignorance not to acknowledge that most Americans (around 70%, IIRC) do in fact believe in the Devil.
It's a bit someone who famously said after President Reagan's 1980 victory, "How could he have won? I don't know a single person who voted for him!".
I’ve seen him a couple of times. He is vile.
“Justice Scalia and the Devil Spook the Liberal Media”
“Spook the Devil?”
I thought liberals didn’t believe in Heaven and Hell, nor God and Satan. I thought liberals were so enlightened they did not believe in such fantasies. . .further, I thought liberals embraced religion only when it is anti-American in its action and supported the liberal agenda.
Isn’t it ironic? The devil is animating him while he denies the Devil’s existence.
There are entire liberal “Christian” denominations now which are based on atheism. Amazing.
One need look no further than Cenk Uygur to know that Satan exists. This poor man is under his evil influence.
I wish I had not been illegitimately banned from TH, because several of the inevitable resident trolls’ commenting will need to be repudiated.
A lot of great posters have been banned. I think Leftists have infiltrated the administration of that forum.
I wouldn’t believe Cenk Uygur if he were in a padded cell surrounded by Encyclopedia Britanicas.
He’s a far left with an Islamic influence as you can come!
Really!?
How can one be Christian” but not believe in the divinity of Christ.
Like you said, amazing.
Yes, really. The Episcopal Church is one of them. Sure, they use the language that implies belief, but if you drill them on theology, you’ll find out the real truth.
Satan is teaching one of his “students”, that the most important lie they can convey to mankind....
“...is that we don't exist!”
For if there is no perceived threat, there will be no resistance!
I’m sorry to admit that I have never read this classic by Lewis. But it’s now on my short list.
So the ‘young Turks’ ... Interesting name.
Are they planning on sacking Constantinopal?
Cenk Uygur is a waste of human skin.
Thanks for the ping. I’m with Justice Scalia on this.
Do you believe in God though?
The first five books of The Bible, the Pentateuch or Torah if you will, spend very little time on this concept. The Serpent at Creation could easily have been God Himself.
This “ethical monotheism” is very much in accord with fundamental physics and mathematics, utilizing them as tools to “tease” God out of the structure of things and the universe itself.
Among His other “traits”, I believe that God is playful like that with us.
