The fact is that 83% of the government is open and the House passed 13 bills to fund even more of it. The Senate will not even vote on them. The Dems are the ones responsible for the shutdown. They think they are winning politically and hope to break and destroy the GOP. The only way the GOP emerges intact from this struggle is to stand together. It is probably asking too much with the likes of McCain, Graham, Collins, Corker, and Ayotte.

He is committed to breaking the GOP by turning down every deal except complete surrender even if it means we have "default."

The only way the USA defaults on it's debt contracts is when clown refuses to make the interest payments. We take in about $200 BILLION a month and the interest payments are about 1/10th of that. THE US CONSITUTION REQUIRES HIM TO PAY THESE OBLIGATIONS FIRST.

Anyone remember what happened to GM and Chrysler BOND holders? Clown wants to make sure the EBT cards are filled in advance of paying debt to China of us older folks who own US Gov debt obligations.

Clown is itching for CW2 - every move confirms this opinion.

Trouble is obamacare and anything to do with it is all about power.
If we are not in power and this time it will take all three branches we can not kill the beast.
The only other method of destruction of obamcare and its a long shot it to tell the truth about why Justice Roberts invented it as a tax.
That's easy but hard to get across.He was blackmailed.
He smuggled his adopted kids in from Ireland to Central America and than to the U.S and got caught. The regime did what they do best and blackmailed the crap out of him.
Thus we have obamcare as a tax even though Roberts’ closest ally on the Supreme Court tried for a month to get him to change his mind. when its your kids you get stupid and Roberts was no exception.

How funny how all of these journalists are such giant economic minds and know the markets will collapse. Most have never had an economics class or even understand capitalism are predicting the markets.

They went up on the sequester and up last week as it came close. Look for them to go down a bit and then rally back. The markets could very well like the shutdown and rally.

Wonder why they aren’t talking about Obama’s poll drop?

NOt only does ozero and his handlers want the destruction of us and the country but is setting the country up for a financial fall on the assumption that at some point we will get power. Its all done very slickly and with the greatest of thought. We should try thinking that hard some time.

The GOP has allowed Obama to run wild with executive authority, which he doesn't have. He doesn't have the power to delay the employer mandate under the law. Yet, the GOP failed to call him on it except to say that they want the individual mandate delayed. By doing so, they are tacitly accepting that he has such authority. Obama should be impeached for that alone.

The Reps should be saying that the employer mandate should be enforced under the law. No exceptions. The only problem is the GOP's corporate paymasters want the delay. The Reps would be in a much stronger position if they supported strict adherence to the Rule of Law. If Obama can arbitrarily approve the delay the employer mandate, why is it necessary to have a bill delaying the individual mandate? According to the Reps, Obama has the authority to delay the individual mandate without approval from Congress.

His backdoor amnesty for the Dreamers is another impeachable offense. But it is not challenged because many of the RINOs want the same thing.

You are right on the money!!! The Pubbies have to stick together now and offer Obama nothing, unless Obama agrees to serious negotiations before getting a debt limit increase or CR from the House of Representatives. Let him go over the cliff next Thursday on his own!!! One of two things will occur. Numbe one, the country will go over the cliff and implode financially...or nothing will happen as Obama covers interest payments on our loans with available funds, of which he has plenty on hand!!! Pubbies....do not be fooled...he well knows....that he can cover his butt on the debt increase....otherwise...he would have cut a deal already!!! Give him nothing....and I mean nothing!!!

NOt agreeing to logical deals usually means diversion as well. Its up to us to discover what is going on in the background while zero is playing us like a fiddle.

Understand, which is why I put “default” in quotes. You can bet that even if Obama pays the bond holders first, he will make the other cuts as painful to as many people as possible. The technical issue of a default will be lost for most voters.

Ironically, as you pointed out last week and has been echoed by many all week long 85% of the revenue the govt. receives, some 250 billion per month, is always available to the regime. With that they need to pay approximately 20-22 billion per month for interest on the debt. That's what they keep harping on they will default on. Now what sense does that make?!!

In essence, the entire dem argument is over the other 15% of money they have to borrow, some 600 billion per year in a 4 trillion dollar federal budget. The game is to pretend they can't get along without the other 15% which is such a big lie even they have to go to extraordinary lengths to make it stick.

In other words their argument is all BS.

I’ve been trying to find something on the Vets and truckers and so far haven’t been able to find much. I know some DC area FReepers were going to be with the Vets today.

I did find an audio of at least some of the truckers that are apparently in front of the White House right now - wish I could find video. If you want to listen, be aware that the guy that seems to be hosting this show as thrown a few F-bombs.

There is no doubt that Obama believes he has the upper hand and he is winning. Until he is disabused of that idea, Obama will continue to march us to the brink until the GOP surrenders. The idea that he wants to eliminate the sequester and increase spending (something many Reps want secretly) is an indication of how strong a position he feels he has.

The GOP constantly acting as supplicants bringing one compromise after another to the WH only to see them dashed is a sign of weakness. At some point, the GOP has to show that it is just as willing to over the cliff as Obama.
