NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
During a routine test of our back-up systems Saturday morning, Xeroxs Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system experienced a temporary shutdown. While the system is now up and running, beneficiaries in the 17 affected states continue to experience connectivity issues to access their benefits. This disruption impacts EBT beneficiaries who rely on the system for SNAP and WIC. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon.

In my IT shop, we would NEVER do an upgrade on a Friday night, because Saturday is the day that hard-working people would set aside to do their shopping, and...
Oh, wait, these are welfare slugs...
Nevermind.
I fully expect that eventually the federal government will order that EBT cards (aka food stamps) are to be given preference in the event of food shotrtages, emergencies and disasters.
And there are plenty of those in store for us under this governmen.
Ah, the good old days, back when reporters weren't stenographers for the regime.
Zackly. Out here in the working world, I would be running all the tough stuff on Friday-Sunday, but we’re talking about the world of welfare slugs.
printing of amtrack tickets via email has also stopped
I like 4350, its the best all around for most applications!
:)
Knew there was reason I liked your posts.
Have a very good weekend FRiend.
No doubt about it. The threat of black violence has been used in many guises over the years. This is just the newest twist, but it remains unmistakable.
I have more than one rifle in some calibers and IMR4350 is the only powder that works in all of them.
Other powders may work betting in a specific rifle, but it’s too much trouble trying to keep up with them all and what works where.
You have a good weekend too, this crap keeps going the way it is it might be the last good weekend for awhile.
I went to the grocery store last night as it seems that is when they markdown a lot of the meats. I buy the markdowns and bring them home to freeze. Especially, I watch for markdowns on steaks and beef.
First hand account:
(I already knew about the EBT glitch)
The parking lot was rather empty for a Saturday early evening. I got to park right up front.
As I entered the store several people were at Customer Service and the clerk was on the phone repeating VERY LOUDLY that the EBT glitch was affecting 17 states. These folks listening were frowning and shoving the cards back into their wallets. They were not happy at all, but we’ll see what happens if the glitch continues through the weekend.
On my side, shopping was a breeze and the markdown meats were plentiful to choose from. The aisles were stocked and I could reach what I needed without having to ask for assistance. (I am 4’11” some days in high heels).
No one accosted me or approached me in the parking lot, in fact it was even emptier than when I went in. Which caused me to make a mental note to myself...there’s a lot of people on these EBT cards in my area. More than maybe I realized, but if the change in grocery store traffic is any indication...heads-up. Life could get a lot more serious if the EBT crowd is not getting denied access to food.
I hate to even think this was a government ‘dry run’ to see what the reaction would be. But...after the purely vindictive things we’ve seen the past 10 days? I would not doubt it.
The plan is to prime them to be the vanguard of human shields for when the government decides to impose martial law - this is just a test to see how riled they get and now they can begin to focus them.
It also just showed them how they will react, what communication method will be used, and most importantly where the ‘hotbeds’ of action will be.
God, I cannot believe this is about to happen...
From the first time the Democrat Party voted down the President’s budget we should have known something was up. Recall we all laughed then when the party voted his budget down unanimously ...instead we should have looked deeper.
