The disappearance of some 20,000 prisoners of conscience, and possibly many more, from North Korea’s Camp 22–a massive concentration camp neighboring Hoeryong city which was geographically larger than Los Angeles and thought to have once held between 30,000 and 50,000 captives–cannot represent anything less than a Srebrenica-level massacre of an already enslaved and frightfully brutalized population. Satellite photographs indicate that guard posts, interrogation and detention facilities at the camp had been razed last year; by which time those groundlessly accused and exploited had all of a sudden been reduced to about 3,000. I have no doubt that the men, women and children of camp 22 are being offed. The country is on the brink of mass starvation if not deep in it already.
The idea of killing a political criminal and then imprisoning their entire extended families in the most brutal of camps is horrifying enough. Some of the things I have read about these camps would make NAZI’s blush.
When the free world finally grows a pair and shuts down NK, the things that will be found will make the Nazis look compassionate.
Using Srebrenica as the comparison seems odd.
On the scale created by a century of communist genocide, the Srebrenica Massacre was itsy-bitsy.
North Korean leaders are the worst lowlifes in the world. Must be quite an honor to be at the total bottom of all living leaders.
Yes, when I saw the article I thought maybe it was referring to the method used as was “allegedly” used at Srebrenica. Terrifying to think of, that would mean I gather, shooting them and then letting them drop in a hole.

NK is the last stronghold of this kind of hideousness, sure Iran and China are bad too but I don’t think it’s in the same vein.
China is at the present time a beacon of prosperity and liberty, if compared to NK.
My understanding is that in China you can pretty much live your life without interference from the government, as long as you don’t openly oppose them.
In fact, I wonder if in some ways China is not presently more free than the US is.
Just means they are 20,000 dead people closer to “THE GREAT SOCIALIST UTOPIA OF NEXT TUESDAY!!”.
What also breaks my heart is the people who (like saying mercury will cure madness) that they WANT this system of government.
