If anyone is still so deluded as to think Obama actually cares about the poor, this should extinguish your delusion for good.
The (un)Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare and more truthfully should be called Lucifercare, will fine charitable hospitals that provide healthcare for poor people — for free.
The fines can be as high as $50,000.
After that, Lucifercare — via its minions in the IRS — will remove the nonprofit status from those hospitals. Currently, some 60% of U.S. hospitals are nonprofits.
Of those, a sizeable number are Catholic. 615 Catholic hospitals account for 12.5% of community hospitals in the United States, and over 15.5% of all U.S. hospital admissions.
Last year, it was Chief Justice John Roberts’ siding with the four liberals on the Supreme Court which led to the court’s narrow 5-4 ruling that Lucifercare is a tax and therefore is constitutional. Roberts is a Roman Catholic. I hope you’re happy with yourself, Roberts you POS.
Lucifercare’s fining and hounding-int0-extinction charitable hospitals should tell you, once and for all, that when Obama and all Democrats say they care about the poor, it’s all lip service, otherwise called *Lies*.
What they care about is *POWER* — their power.

Congress should make a list of the top 10 worst parts of Obamacare (this would be one), and state that they want to revoke 7-8 of those 10 and negotiate on the numbers. It would be a good excuse to get some of these things back in the news and highlight the ugly side of Obamacare.
Since Cupcake can’t exercise his preferred sexual proclivities now that he’s in the limelite, he can get his jollies by figuratively giving it to all of us in the rear.
(His preferred stance whilst engaged in his avocation.)
Their course is simple....... don’t pay the fines
Not to burst y’alls bubbles, but the Catholic Health Association of the United States ENDORSED Obamacare in 2009.
“The American Hospital Association, the Catholic Health Association and other industry groups endorsed the health care reform legislation in 2009. Although the law will cut their Medicare and Medicaid payments by $155 billion over a decade, hospitals calculated that decreasing the number of patients without health insurance — and thus the amount of bad debt on their books and charity care provided — made the deal worth it.”
So, all they have to do is report who and how they treated, and no fine. And, since they will be spending much less time and resources treating uninsured patients, they’ll have PLENTY of time to do the paperwork.

So called charitable hospitals stopped being charitable a couple of decades.
When the illegals and the dregs of society started flocking to them for everyday health care, most of which could have been handled by a good pharmacist.
Those in charge of the hospitals started passing on the costs of the free loaders to those with insurance and those with cash.
So a 5 cent aspirin was billed at $10 to $50. A hundred $ procedure was billed at $3,000.
My wife broke her wrist two years ago and the surgery costs for preop, 1 hour of surgery and two hours post op was over $100k
Medicare paid $7500.

Several Birth Centers in Tennessee have been closed down recently by the Department of Health, and not for bad patient outcomes. Nurse Midwives are also being targeted. I suspect they are trying to move all births into hospitals where they can be more easily controlled (e.g., make sure newborns are given their shots immediately after birth).
and with the unemployment rate being what it is I bet there is a lot of competition
