Republican congressman goes ballistic on Ted Cruz - "We have to cut this guy off now"

Appearing on MSNBC on Friday, Congressman Peter King continued his epic verbal assault on Ted Cruz — and, to a lesser extent, Rand Paul — by describing the Texas Senator as a “RINO” (Republican in name only) and a “fraud.”

Speaking with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, King called the ongoing government shutdown “the strategy of Ted Cruz” and wondered aloud “why more Republicans around the country didn’t join me in denouncing Ted Cruz” before the shutdown began. “We cannot allow our party to be taken over by the likes of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul,” King continued, describing Cruz and Paul as “isolationists” and “RINOs” who “don’t represent traditional Republican principles.”

Confusion spreads in GOP: ‘There’s plates spinning everywhere’

.....The [White House] meeting also showed that Senate Republicans are not in the loop on what the House is negotiating, as they spent much of the time pressing Obama for details about the House’s plan.

House Republicans have put forward a plan to boost the debt limit, but are demanding fiscal negotiations with the president on ending the shutdown. The precise details of the plan are under wraps.

The uncertainty of the talks is frustrating Senate Republicans, who want the crisis resolved as soon as possible......"

“Appearing on MSNBC on Friday, Congressman Peter King continued his epic verbal assault on Ted Cruz...”

Sounded like King was on the campaign trail.

RINOS like King are our problem.
And of course the LSM, carrying their water.

"The GOP is dead. Committed suicide."

Sad but true. However it was assisted suicide, from the LSM.

“.....The [White House] meeting also showed that Senate Republicans are not in the loop on what the House is negotiating, as they spent much of the time pressing Obama for details about the House’s plan.”

If this is true (not saying it isn’t and wouldn’t surprise me if it is, but I take a lot of what I read from the LSM with a grain of salt), then heads should roll in the leadership in the Senate (are you listening McConnell???).
After the Pubbies in the House have been holding fairly firm (except for a few Dem/RINOS like King of NY) and Cruz, Lee and Paul have been fighting - why the heck isn’t the Pubbie leadership of both houses getting together to discuss a plan??? What kind of strategery is that?

“The uncertainty of the talks is frustrating Senate Republicans, who want the crisis resolved as soon as possible......”

I think they are generalizing on Republicans want this resolved - they should change that to RINOs want it resolved: McCain, Graham, Ayotte, Johnson, Corker, Cornyn, Flake, Collins - probably missing a few more.

I suspect that Cruz, Lee, Sessions (AL), and to a lesser extent Rubio and Paul wouldn’t mind continuing the fight. IIRC there were 14 Senate Republican patriots that voted No on cloture.

How many times has NY voted for the Republican presidential nominee, you dope? Those who haven’t seen their state in the GOP column in decades should have very little influence in the party.

One meeting with 0bama, and some players are running around like chickens with their head cut off.

GO BACK to NORMAL order, defund & Delay 0care, or at least compel 0bama and the WH staff to register in 0bama care.

Then go home and relax. If the US Defaults, better now than next year

Some Senate Republicans emerged from a lengthy meeting with President Obama on Friday arguing they should now be in the GOP driver's seat in talks with the president, particularly because they disagree with how House Republicans have handled the government shutdown.

Heh....too bad that the House controls the national purse and not the Senate.

Establishment Republicans sound more and more like Democrats, especially with his name calling and hysterical claims. I think that King is talking about himself when he says RINO.
