I’m curious as to what the people of Detroit think caused the bankruptcy. Everyone else understands, but do they?

What I’m waiting for....
Barrak H. Obama, the former president of the United States, stood before a federal judge on Thursday and apologized for putting the people of his nation through a corruption scandal so vast that prosecutors say it helped accelerate Americas march toward bankruptcy.

Some do but you won’t hear from them.
The next election in Detroit is going to be kind of interesting since the state has effectively seized control of the election process and has them under a microscope with new laws. They’ll still go democrat but won’t do it with 200,000 more votes than people.

Never learn, do they? Locally in DC, some city councilmen (in addition to former Mayor Barry), the current Mayor, the County Executive of Prince Georges County that abuts DC; look to Jesse Jackson and his wife, who IIRC was a Chicago alderman, Jefferson in NOLA...on and on and on it goes.

I’m concerned that without correction, the citizens of Detroit will just keep electing crooks. I’m not sure that most of them even know what happened to this guy. If we don’t find a way to educate/correct the inner-city Democrat voters, we’re just going to keep having these problems.

I'm only one man but I'm working on it. There are quiet changes going on in Detroit, the fact that a white guy won the primary is an indicator. Duggan is a sleaze but its still amazing.
Michigan election panel certifies Detroit mayoral primary; Mike Duggan wins
They tried to cheat him out of it by immediately throwing out some 40% of his votes but the state forced them to count them.

There is a certain animosity between Detroit politicians and Obama. Even John Conyers has been fairly aggressive with Bammy. Detroit Mob vs Chicago Mob.
Nuke both of them.

Kwame could have been purer than Caesars wife and Detroit would still have gone belly up. Maybe so, maybe no.
The corruption of the mayor and the city council (who should ALL be in jail with him) not only skimmed off a lot of money but they also prevented new money from coming in.

Isn’t 28 years like .... WAAAY excessive for white collar crime?
The DOJ is a mob. They are the armed wing of the executive branch. Yeah, this guy is a lefty crook. But, people don’t get this for killing. This smells.
