A semi carrying porta potties pulled up yesterday beside the WW II Memorial in Washington D.C.. The porta potties were donated by private citezens to help out the visiting veterans since the facilities are closed.
However, the park rangers turned the truck away and they were not allowed to unload. Michele Tennery witnessed this event and was astonished that the rangers could be so heartless in their treatment of the veterans. Michele added, “The photos show the attempted delivery of Port-A-Johns by Don’s Johns. The NPS Ranger would not allow the Port-A-Johns to be left at the WWII Memorial site on the grassy area (where the National Park Police have parked 10+ vehicles!). The NPS has not opened the bathrooms at this Memorial site so there are no open bathroom facilities onsite at the WWII Memorial.
Despite the actions of the park rangers a handful of porta-john were placed near the memorial overnight by private citizens.

Case in point. There’s a national forest behind my folk’s property. Dogs and guns allowed. But then in the middle of that national forest is a national park! No dogs, no guns. Long story short, I’ve hiked maybe ten miles into the national forest and there’s this geek park ranger with his Smokey the Bear hat on. He stops me and writes me a $50 ticket because of the dog. Had he known I was carrying .... (dad’s 1911A1 Springfield .45ACP) he would have s*** bricks. And to top it all off he tried hitting on me. Have to admit the guy had guts but WTF, a park in the middle of a national forest? These guys think a park is a couple of acres and this forest is a couple of hundred square miles. Guy said he lived in Seattle and just comes out on weekends. Figgers - Liberalville.
They need to be notified that they are Public Servants.

This is the Achilles’ heel of the Million Vets March that’s scheduled for Sunday. It’s not possible to have that many people in DC without a lot of portable portable sanitation devices. No way the Mahdi will allow those devices.

A friend of mine told me that he and his wife got fined for feeding the bears honey rolls while driving through the Smokey Mountains (North Georgia). While I agree it is stupid and wrong to feed wildlife (other than birds :-), he really didn’t know better because there wasn’t any signs or other ways he would have known. The rangers didn’t care. It was more money for their parties or whatever they use ticket proceeds for.

I wonder how many veterans are employed by the NPS. It would be truly disgusting if military vets are doing this to WWII vets.

Actually, these men are vets, dig some field latrines on the mall, bring Sheet and PVC pipe to make dumping grounds private... call it the Obama Memorial field latrines.
