College Grad Says Obamacare ‘Has Raped My Future’ In Viral Letter
CBS News Washington D.C. ^ | October 9, 2013 | Benjamin Fearnow

A University of Michigan graduate penned an open letter that went viral online as she described how President Barack Obama’s signature health care law hurts the working poor, and has “raped” her future.

I have asthma, ulcers, and mild cerebral palsy. Obamacare takes my monthly rate from $75 a month for full coverage on my “Young Adult Plan,” to $319 a month. After $6,000 in deductibles, of course,” Dionne wrote in the Facebook post.

“Liberals claimed this law would help the poor. I am the poor, the working poor, and I can’t afford to support myself, let alone older generations and people not willing to work at all.”

This law has raped my future,” she writes. “It will keep me and kids my age from having a future at all. This is the real face of Obamacare and it isn’t pretty.”

I’d also like to know what she got a degree in that she can’t get a job.

Details at link, but basically 'overqualified'.

I am just guessing, but from the story she sounds pretty responsible. My guess is well right of center politically.

Under Obamacare, her income of $13312 qualifies her for Medicaid, if she’s living on her own. If she’s living at home, then her policy may in fact have increased to the amount stated.

According to LinkedIn, this is what she does:

2D and 3D Designer of retail displays and environments for promotional product launches, merchandising units, and permanent in-store fixtures, as well as consumer products and packaging design. Taking inspiration from the existing structure of a brand or product line, I bring a very clear communicatory element to my work which helps the consumer to understand the product and the experience of the product, while simultaneously reinforcing the message of the brand. Through this work, I've been able to foster and elevate long term working relationships to a level that transcends typical consultancy-client relationships. We are truly considered, and relied on for our working history and expertise as extensions of each clients creative teams.

Did she vote for Obama?

I highly doubt it. She posted her screed on Dennis Prager's page.

Check out her own Facebook page.

The first entry on her book list is by one F. A. Hayek.

I expect that soon she will cease to exist. No web presence, no one answering the phone, ... zip, nada.

Doesn't matter. There will be millions more posting the same horror story as the weeks roll by. This isn't something the regime or the MSM can hide.

If the ‘pubs choose a RINO again, they’ll lose again.

If the Republicans nominate yet another RINO squish for President in 2016, the majority of those posting here will roll right over and vote for them, throwing out any so-called principles they have, in the process.

And how will the party respond to that vote of approval? Why, they'll nominate an even more left-wing candidate for the office in the next election.

Elections have consequences. Even when you lose.

In before the Romenybots try to blame the 'to-right-of-Stalin' voters and explain the merits of his "severe conservative" credentials. That, had Myth been elected griffons would be flying through the sky farting M&Ms (Barrycade 0 has the market cornered on unicorns and Skittles).

And of course, how the architect of Romneycare, the template for 0care, is really truly electable.

It all boils down to those dumb voters that won't vote for a representative that is unrepresentative of their values, in our representative government. - That's the ticket.

<A 26 year old is not a kid. I’d like to know where, with her health issues, she was getting full health coverage for $75 a month.

Good point. My healthy adult son was paying a similar rate with no health concerns. $75 a month with all of those health issues seems a little low.
