Took me a second to realize this isn’t the Vietnam Memorial, which I am very, very, very familiar with as I am with the entire National Mall.
This is in Manhattan and takes place at Memorial Park, down by where you get on a boat to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island(pre-Barrycade).
I am very familiar with this area as well, having walked many times from 91st and Lexington down to this same spot and over to Battery Park, where World Trade use to be.
I have one of the best shots anyone has of me standing at the base of Statue of Liberty with World Trade 1 & 2 behind me. Awesome day.
Great spot for perogies and If I recall it’s fairly open.
Not sure why the cops would care about some peaceful protest in a city park, particularly at a time of night when very few people would be there.
I will go watch the “Occupy” video for more 411.
I want to hang whatever on Obama but, this has nothing to do with Obama.
It’s a city issue.
The park was closed due to “Occupy” after 10:30 and I’m sympathetic to these guys but.....

Vets were also arrested at the NYC memorial a few months ago for ‘loitering’ after curfew, which I believe is 10 pm. I didn’t pull up the full story but perhaps this is under the same pretext ?

I was thinking of something a bit more sinister. How could the administration be so stupid on purpose? First they ban our veterans from visiting their memorials, which outraged a large segment of the public. Then they turn around and stage a huge, elaborate rally for illegals, rubbing it in our faces. The perfect scenario for staging a massive, bloody false flag operation that they could blame on the “racist” Tea Party. Call me paranoid, but the Obama Administration is growing more sinister and untrustworthy by the day.

All of these thug-like actions by the police as directed by Obama gives the lie to the hopeful thoughts people had about cops and soldiers siding with citizens when the SHTF. These are concentration camp guards and they have no compunction about arresting vets or private citizens. This is why the government wants your guns and this is what you can expect if they get them.
