While the U.S. Park Service is permitting pro-illegal immigration rallies at closed memorials, a permit submitted by Vietnam Veterans to honor fallen soldiers was denied. The vets proceeded with their peaceful rally and gathered at the Memorial Plaza in NYC on Monday for the 12th anniversary of the “invasion and occupation of Afghanistan”. They honored the fallen by reading their names. At least four vets were arrested for trespassing.

This video is of the New York Veteran’s Memorial, and the issue here seems to have nothing to do with the federal shutdown. The NYC memorial closes down at 10pm every night (because of the occupiers) and the police were enforcing that ordinance.
There was no immigration rally in New York City at this memorial today.

They should fight the charges and counter-sue under equal protection, possibly other grounds as well. We can’t give him his “incident,” but we can’t let him off the hook for what he’s doing either.
