Apparently now you can't "recreate" without permission from the government.
Some of the actions of the park rangers described in the article seem like they may cross the line into illegal interference with the rights of the visitors.
Simply stunning. Even in the USSR, they had recreation guaranteed in their Constitution.
It’s not just the Park Service although that’s an excellent example. The US is quickly becoming a nation ruled by fear and intimidation. It’s disgusting.

The bus stopped along a road when a large herd of bison passed nearby, and seniors filed out to take photos. Almost immediately, an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t “recreate.” The tour guide, who had paid a $300 fee the day before to bring the group into the park, argued that the seniors weren’t “recreating,” just taking photos.
“She responded and said, ‘Sir, you are recreating,’ and her tone became very aggressive,” Vaillancourt said.
The seniors quickly filed back onboard and the bus went to the Old Faithful Inn, the park’s premier lodge located adjacent to the park’s most famous site, Old Faithful geyser. That was as close as they could get to the famous site — barricades were erected around Old Faithful, and the seniors were locked inside the hotel, where armed rangers stayed at the door.

This is the most spiteful, mean spirited administration we've ever known.
I guess this answers the question that many have asked: Will the police follow orders to confiscate guns or shoot their owners when it comes to that.
Looks like following orders (even if they are plainly illegal) comes natural to a lot of people.

I will have a hard time offering anything but contempt to any Park Service Employee. They are playing the part of jack booted thugs and need to receive scorn and verbal insults at every opportunity!

The question has been asked on various other threads in the past .... would Americans (like police, military, .... rangers) take orders from the government i.e. tin pot dictator Obama and open fire on their fellow Americans? Looks like Obama has turned the NPS into his own version of the Brown Shirts. He’s ‘testing’ the waters ..... NPS/gov’t workers obeying orders to be ‘ugly’ (first step - what is next?) to their fellow citizens, no real pushback from the sheeple.
In all of these cases, try and get the names and pictures of the brown shirts and post them to social media. The park rangers must be shunned in their communities. They are agents of the oppressor. A diplomatic protest from a foreign government would also be in order.
