true - but those who could get out of Russia for treatment did so.
Martina Lesbianova had the best health care her government could provide because she was a world-class athlete. Or maybe she was a world-class athlete because she got the best steroids. But you will notice that as soon as she got the chance to bolt to the west, she did. I guess that great healthcare system wasn’t enough to keep her.
The carpet is always more plush on the other side of the room.
Someone should show that moron the scars that you wind up with after surgery in Chinese state hospitals.
Someone should ask Butch Navratilova what she thinks her life would have been like if she had continued to live under communism. Would she have been able to live the comfortable life America’s freedoms afforded her? How tolerant would her communism have been of alternative lifestyle?
No someone should ask her what level of health care the grunt proletariat gets and just what kind of life she would have had without a talent that was exploitable to enhance the motherland. As my Mother who has some experience with the Russians says, under communism the rich and the upper class are always well cared for but the middle class is constantly diminished.
Navratilova slammed those who shut down the government “because we don’t want for people to be healthy? We don’t want people to be taken care of? It’s crazy.”
Maybe she would prefer if the our government dealt with the problems of the people like Stalin and Lenin did, ruthlessly reduce the population until the problem goes away. All these liberals love communism despite the fact that there is not one place on earth it has worked. A healthy slave is still just a slave!
* 100,000,000 were murdered by communism in the biggest mass slaughters exceeding the sum of all war deaths in history.
Right, forget the fact that Communists killed tens of millions of people in the process .... what a dumb bimbo.
She had prime health care because of her status as a star athlete. I wonder if she would be singing the same tune if she was one of the underclass.
What she didn’t say was that the healthcare was for the elite ... like her not the unwashed masses.
Martin, I suggest you go back to our mother land and receive your operation their.
I have Martuna’s book “How To Lick Your Opponent”. Quite an eye opener.
So did Nazi Germany, a great way to control the masses and lock up those who don't go along.
“...we dont want for people to be healthy?”
Until Obama dismantled it, the US had the finest system in the world. It is here where people throughout the world came for care and treatment, if they could.
The problems which exist with the overall health of Americans had nothing to do with the system and everything to do with diversity, and lifestyle of those who live here.
Martina Navratilova, who became one of the first openly gay sports figures when she came out in 1981.
And she received good healthcare only because she was selected and trained to be an international athlete. If she had not performed, she would have been put back into the “classless society” and received healthcare that was on a level with about 1900-10 for the USA. that is from a pair of doctors I new who got a tour of the old Soviet Russia back in the 1980s.
I knew I never liked him!
Along with railing against the restrictive social culture, Navratilova tired of the bulk of her tennis winnings being pocketed by the Czech government . . . .
It is my decision alone. I am doing it to enhance my tennis career, Navratilova would say of her defection from the communist state.
So when it impacts her, she isn't so high on Communism. What a hypocrite.
It's not that all liberals are simple-minded - though many are. Most are just controlled by a single hedonistic issue that commands their passionate soul, and the Democrats build their coalition out of blocs of these emotional zealots who choose to feel and not to think. Once on-board, they adopt the rest of the progressive agenda.
P.S. "Her" single-issue is not health care.
Indeed. Maybe she should compare the average lifespan of a US citizen to that of a USSR citizen from 1920-1990.
