Tractor-trailer drivers will intentionally clog the inner loop of the Washington, D.C., beltway beginning on the morning of Oct. 11, according to a coordinator of the upcoming "Truckers Ride for the Constitution" rally.
Organizers of the three-day ride want to call attention to a litany of trucker frustrations and express their disapproval of national political leaders.
Earl Conlon, a Georgia trucker who is handling logistics for the protest, told U.S. News tractor-trailer drivers will circle the beltway "three lanes deep" as he rides with other participants to Congress to seek the arrest of congressmen for allegedly disregarding the Constitution.
The truckers circling I-495 will keep the left lane open for emergency vehicles, Conlon said, but "everybody that doesn't have a supporter sticker on their window, good luck: Nobody in, nobody out." The trucks will be going the 55 mile-per-hour speed limit.
D.C. commuters who wish to be allowed past the convoy must have "T2SDA" an acronym for the event's original name, "Truckers to Shut Down America" written on their vehicle, he said.

This is gonna be a helluvathing if it really materializes. I had to get by a truckers’ national strike once. Man, that was, well, a helluvathing.
Looney? Really? Look at the government. That’s where the insanity is. I’ll support them 110%.
Shutting down the traffic in the shit hole that is DC is an improvement.
They would have to actually exist in order for me to support them that much.
Guess we’ll see on Friday..
Also read the report linked on all the bikers who converged on DC on 9-11 (click on Related "In DC, You can Parade Without Paperwork.")
Does anyone know how many bikers showed up in DC for the "Two million" ride, so named after the "million man marches" of the past that drew a few hundred thousand at best? The US News story says, in part: The biker parade will likely be attended by hundreds or thousands of people ...."
Was there any followup story? I found one in the Washington Times, and while it said the turnout was "impressive," it failed to cite a number except to say that it "fell short of 2 million."
Other reports I've found and remember seeing, cited numbers closer to 800,000 on the conservative side, to 1.2 million riders.
Did you see one headline in US News about how hundreds of thousands of ordinary Americans converged on Washington DC on 911? No, pretty much all across the board, the statement was that "thousands" or "hundreds" of bikers "rode through DC yesterday," yadda yadda yadda. So which was it -- hundreds of thousands, or just ... hundreds? If it was only hundreds, why don't the "official" news stories ala US News and Washington Times, cite hard numbers? They don't have them?
I don't know ...... Maybe these truckers are all they say the are, I hope they are. I'm just saying that fuel costs money, those trucks burn fuel, and presumably these are men (and women) who make their livings driving trucks. What work are they missing to be here? How much is it costing them in fuel?
And as opposed to about ONE MILLION ordinary Americans with motorcycles, how many will these guys be? A hundred actual people? Five hundred? Five hundred trucks could jam a lot of traffic.
Just be leery. Don't put nuthin' past the Bamster.
Kinda looney and kinda ballsy by the single, strongest group in America. If you’ve got it a truck brought it. Nothing in your home, office, business, church, town, city, and state is where it is without having been transported by truck, part or all of the way.
When the trucks stop running is when America shuts down, all of America!
Park them on the mall and lets the Veterans and Patriots do the rest.
Sounds like a great idea
Truck Obama
That would be cracking open Pandora's Box. He counts upon the law abiding nature of his opposition while he accuses them of being insurrectionists. I don't think he's dumb enough to totally throw out the rule book at this time. If he is, good luck to him.
“T2SDA” should be the sign you have on your truck or car to show you support them. (they have a facebook page)
(It stands for Truckers To Shut Down America)
From Oct 11 thru Oct 13 they ask that no one buy or sell anything.
Stock up on beer and popcorn Thursday!
They just sharpened their claws on an unarmed mother a couple days ago and got a standing ovation from congress. You think they're going to think twice about capping some truck drivers to make a point?
Ya say it's looney to arrest those who intentionally left our borders wide open and aided and abetted an illegal invasion of tens of millions to the point where it's changed our history and compromised and undermined our electoral process?
What's up with that lucky?
Not enough? Those in government looted the American treasure with decades long "compassionate" wars costing many trillions, as those in government borrowed trillions from the Communist. All this while most in government line their own pockets and become wealthy.
I could go on...and on. Ya didn't notice all this Lucky?
My guess is you're part of this government sponsored destruction of America. Or maybe you're on the payroll sucking up those government sponsored lottery style retirement pension....
Maybe you're just ignorant and or are attempting to minimize this endless unconstitutional criminal actions by those in governemnt
Keep on truckin’!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
White shoe polish is easier.
Yes, and not just how much freight, but whose freight, and what it is. We seem to get a lot of freight from China these days.
From their Facebook page, they posted this:
****UPDATE GUYS****
The Truckers Ride For The Constitution is not a hoax, nor are we calling for any arrests or impeachments. Earl Conlon is falsely representing hisself as a spokesperson for our movement. This is to officially state that Mr. Conlon does NOT speak for the Truckers #T2SDA

So, how did it turn out?
Trucker side was a pathetic showing but some hardcore drivers did show and good on them. The Veterans protest was very good and several of the truckers rode by the WWII Memorial before being shut down by the police.
Got to shake Sen Ted Cruz’s hand and tell him great job and keep on doing what he’s doing, saw Sarah Palin and Sen Lee and had a great time in front of the WH.
Proud to have been a part of it but unfortunately it falls on too many deaf ears in Congress & the current Administration. Impeachment won’t work, civil disobedience en masse (but you need a million or two) for several days on end to work, impeachment won’t and the last resort is forcible removal but lemmings are hard to train.
