Our warriors are too afraid to act ... or even REact ... on their own for fear of severe reprisals.
National parks outside of DC:
State governors order the national guard to station 24/7 and arrest any federal employees that might hamper the free egress of the states citizens using state property. Lets see some M16 or shotgun armed park rangers face up against an APC with some M4s.
Have you ever been so thoughtful that you determined you'd change your day to day ... or the way you think?
If the rangers are not thoughtful about what they are doing ... they are the enemy.
> There is only one answer to this weak, childish tyranny: Disobedience.
I suggest the peaceful civil disobedience should extend to O-care. If no one signs up, it will collapse like a cheap card table.
Bump for stealing graphic
Perhaps but it’s scary how easily some people will obey orders without question.
Today barricades, tomorrow boxcars?
Saw something similar in the “Day by Day” comic last night. He called it “Obamaha Beach.”
It is the rare (rare to the point of being non-existent) government employee who will choose the right thing to do over his/her paycheck. This is sort of an advance warning for those of you who think that police will fail to enforce gun confiscation orders when those come down from Hanoi on the Potomac
I agree completely
“Don’t Fear the Reaper”?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM0im3V8HlU
All our times have come
Here but now they’re gone
Seasons don’t fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are
Come on baby...don’t fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don’t fear the reaper
We’ll be able to fly...don’t fear the reaper
Baby I’m your man...
Valentine is done
Here but now they’re gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity...Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday...Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can be like they are
Come on baby...don’t fear the reaper
Baby take my hand...don’t fear the reaper
We’ll be able to fly...don’t fear the reaper
Baby I’m your man...
Love of two is one
Here but now they’re gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn’t go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared...saying don’t be afraid
Come on baby...and she had no fear
And she ran to him...then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodby...she had become like they are
She had taken his hand...she had become like they are
Come on baby...don’t fear the reaper
Sure they have choices.
Actually those figures cast in bronze would make a great enhancement to the memorial.
They Park Rangers have already chosen which side that they will be on. It is the side that is paying their salaries.
They did not necessarily ask to have such a spiteful, petulant fool as an employer - some did, some did not.
Giving up ones livelihood is a commitment not entered into lightly.
Your venom should be aimed at the misbegotten son of an anarchist slut and a drunken, womanizing Kenyan, not his underlings.
WWJD
“These rangers may have little choice.”
Tough situations are called ‘tough’ for a reason. They ought to set an example for those families they are so worried about, an example that looks at the long term rather than the short term. They’re going to have to any way since that is the nature of these situations.
Does Harry Reid think these men are dangerous anarchist?
The choice is between security and liberty.
There’s a famous quote in that regard...
It makes you wonder just what other orders they'd follow without question.
No wondering, if given orders to shoot civilians, they (i.e. military, LEOs, etc.), will shoot.
Having said that, a note to the NSA, and all who are reading this: The canard, "just following orders," will get you a front row seat at a future Nuremberg trial. And trust me, rope and trees will be plentiful.
