These rangers may have little choice.

Sure they have choices.

  1. call in sick.
  2. Simply wander off someplace and take a nap
  3. quit.
  4. Volunteer fo unpaid time off to save the government money
Just to list a few. It isn't like they're soldiers in wartime who will be shot for disobeying an order. The sad, but not in the least surprising thing is that they are apparently following orders without question. It makes you wonder just what other orders they'd follow without question.

Good morning.

It makes you wonder just what other orders they'd follow without question.

No wondering, if given orders to shoot civilians, they (i.e. military, LEOs, etc.), will shoot.

Having said that, a note to the NSA, and all who are reading this: The canard, "just following orders," will get you a front row seat at a future Nuremberg trial. And trust me, rope and trees will be plentiful.

“Sure they have choices.”

We all have choices. I’m sure everyone on this thread calling on these rangers to quit are leading the way by not paying their federal taxes or otherwise obeying federal law.

If not, to borrow the silly, over-the-top rhetoric being tossed around here, you’re a NAZI, a collaborater and war criminal fit only for a Nuremburg type trial. Silly.

I am not condoning bad bahavior by the NPS, simply trying to point out how easy it is to point fingers and demand others sacrifice while ignoring your choices.
