He’s done many good things and act of kindness and charity. Like a lot of folks he’s dead wrong about climate change.

Ah, thank goodness for the entertainers of the world - we of course rely on our public school system and it's heavily unionized teachers in this country to be the main source of idiotic misinformation and politically motivated pseudo-science for 'youngsters', but there's no denying that the mindless babble of singers and actors (uttered in the gravest tones) forms a valuable learning adjunct for the little tots.

Don't know much about bob geldof. Have not researched him. Since he is a musician turned scientist saying everyone is doomed, have to believe he is a nut. Lots of nuts these days, topped with heaping helpings of insanity drug laced zombies wandering around America these days.

Is good to see you, gleeaikin and I have a question below, if there is anything which can/may be shared.

Any rumblings up your way regarding the shooting which you may/can share? Prayers that all is quiet.

Is he aware that the money he raised in the 80s mostly went to replenish the coffers of the African dictators that were starving their people?

The whole Ethiopian famine was a Stalinist style pogrom by the Haile Mengistu regime. And Mengistu was a Soviet client.

Let’s match up the lifetime sum total of all the drugs he consumed versus all of the global warming to date. If someone isn’t going to see 2013, it’s him [hey, wasn’t it “2525, if man is still alive?” 2030 is waaaay too soon]

Ah, I see your mistake. Silly you, looking to judge by results. Don’t you know that results don’t matter??? So what if no one actually got helped. Bob rocked and the effort is all that matters, no matter how futile or misdirected that effort might be. Now come on, get with the program!

A working class hero is something to be ...

Maryanne Faithful's version is much better than Lennon's.

Whilst camping last summer, we chanced upon a discarded zucchini
Which someone had pitched into the bushes. Being inebriated we carved a face upon the. vegetable and propped it up in a chair, naming it Bob. Upon reading this story, I am reminded of that impressive zucchini, which I feel was possibly smarter than this Sir Bob and certainly had a more pleasant demeanor.

True story.

When the “Chicken Littles” of this world start leading by example, then I might listen to them.

When Al Gore forgoes all the luxuries in which he wallows, disconnects from the power grid, sails rather that flies to every destination, & eats from his own hand-tilled garden, then I might consider AGW with something other than total contempt.

He’s always looked like death-warmed-over, IIRC. He’s another bobbing turd in the toilet bowl, that just won’t flush.
