FIVE off-duty NYPD officers were among the bikers involved in SUV attack ...

At least five off-duty New York Police Department officers have admitted being present at the savage revenge beating last weekend on the Henry Hudson Parkway, according to reports.

Among the off duty cops were at least two detectives and three other officers, all who witnessed the attack and did little to stop it. One of the detectives, an undercover narcotics officer, watched as the violence broke out and chose not to break it up for fear of ruining his cover.

The five officers were not the only ones present, WABC is reporting that the NYPD is investigating whether several off-duty corrections officers were also present.

Police present for the violent attack did not begin coming forward until Wednesday - four days later.

The New York Post originally reported that the first undercover officer to admit being at the ruthless pounding was not the only cop at the scene, as several members of the motorcycle group- called the Front Line Soldiers- are police officers themselves.....

Mieses was recently arrested in Andover, Mass., for driving with a revoked license. He also never applied for a motorcycle license.

Records show that in June he was named a habitual offender and his right to drive in the state was revoked until 2017. It wasn't clear if he had been licensed in any other state.

I own an old 72 500 4 sport bike. I don't ride much lately and I have a great respect for bikers in general but from watching the live leak videos, these guys give bikers a black eye at the very least.

This is indeed a very disturbing revelation however these new kinds of technically mechanized (techanized?) gangs must be extremely difficult to track and thwart, especially with apparently double agents on both sides ah la departed. The only way to effectively corral them, other than declaring open season with no bag limit, seems to be to infiltrate, identify their leadership structure and anonymously dismantle it.

I think there is lots more to this story such as could the victim in the range rover have been an intended target unbeknownst to most of the gang that thought they were just out for their regular Sunday joy ride?

My first thought when I heard there was a video was, “Why/How did a video come to be taken of this thuggery?” People are so used to seeing things like this on TV that they never think to question how a person just happened to be there filming the whole thing. The same with the barrycade episode in DC the other day. This is real life, not a TV show. People can’t separate reality from fantasy anymore.

Maybe the one was undercover to “catch” the others!

I wondered how these maniacs could have sped down these suburban and urban streets without a single cop being around. Now I know why. The cops were all with the bikers.

'They are not gang members. They are not thugs,' Mejia said. 'They are FedEx drivers, plumbers, military reservists, musicians. They are fathers and brothers and sons, and sisters and mothers.....

undercover cops, off duty cops, corrections officers, traffic violators, assailants, intimidators.

Did any one of those bikers bother to call 911 at any time during that incident???

Here in Texas, we have CHL and Castle doctrine. You may ask, what does this mean pray-tell?

10 + 1

Reload 10 + 1

I'm thinking 22 attackers attempting to plug up the holes might make’em think a lil harder bout chasin down a family.

I am a motorcyclist and know a little about this world. It is very intoxicating riding in a large pack. You feel powerful. It’s like being part of the military. The MC culture and lifestyle is about risk-taking to a certain extent, especially if riding rice burners. Riding a motorcycle is inherently a riskier mode of transportation. Having said all that, responsible people know where to draw the line. This group was getting out of control and an incident of this nature was bound to happen.

What is the big deal? Most of these cops like the adrenaline rush from beating already compliant individuals while on duty. Here they were just doing it for free. How dare mere citizens complain about the actions of their masters.

It has also been reported—though I think not corroborated—that the NYPD has told its cops not to tangle with these motorcycle mob/gangs. (Though they did at least arrest a bunch and keep them out of Times Square earlier that day, they apparently left them to rough house through the rest of the city undeterred.)

So I'd ask -- "How many of the thugs weren't cops?"

Given how cops like to socialize with other cops, I'm going to guess that the core of this biker group is composed of black cops, correction officers, and other government employees, plus their relatives, "homies", etc.

If somebody really digs (unlikely), a whole lot of ugliness is likely to become visible.

Interesting that there is an undercover narcotics officer who does not want to reveal himself that is a member of this club. The other four (at least) law enforcement officers are apparently known quantities to the other bikers who have a narcotics investigation going against them (thus the assignment of an undercover agent in their midst).

Was the cop assigned to "investigate" the drug dealers, or to act as PROTECTION for an "approved" drug gang who were careful to pay off the right people? Inquiring minds want to know.

as several members of the motorcycle group- called the Front Line Soldiers- are police officers themselves.....

"Front line" is a name that cops would tend to choose for a cop motorcycle group. It fits with the meme that police are on the "front lines" against crime.

We have trained a generation of cops improperly. They now think survival, not morality and ethics. “Get home at all costs” is the catchphrase that permeates the law enforcement culture. I KNOW, because I have experienced it firsthand.

Wasn’t a bit surprise to see celeb attorney Gloria Allred sittng next to his “distraught” wife at that press conference. Let’s see...Alexian Lien is an Ivy League grad and a Wall Streeter...someone smells money in the air. Only in America would the family of a biker who terrorizes a motorist and his family sue him.

If he really is paralyzed, then the good news is that his days of recidivism are over.
