MSNBC’s Al Sharpton got in a heated debate with Rep. John Mica (R-FL) Friday afternoon over who is to blame for the government shutdown. The two men spent most of the interview talking past each other, with Sharpton yelling, “You’re in denial! You shut the government down!”
After debating the deficit under President Obama, Sharpton asked Mica, “When in the history of this country have we ever had a shutdown over a law?” The host rejected the idea that this shutdown is similar to the one that occurred in 1995, with Mica fighting back by saying it is similar, but worse.
When Mica started trashing certain aspects of the Affordable Care Act, Sharpton shot back, “in all due respect, the debate is over. They passed the law.” They went through detours about President George W. Bush’s vacation days, President Obama’s golf outings and the impact of the shutdown on Florida’s preschoolers without making getting any closer to any kind of agreement on anything.
But it was when Mica told Sharpton to “get with it” that things really went off the rails. “Congressman, are you in denial?” Sharpton asked. “You’ve shut the government down. You’re talking like the government is up. You’re talking about what you would do or not do. You’ve shut the government down! You get with it!”
As the congressman kept right on talking, Sharpton screamed, “You’re in denial!” before cutting off the segment.
No he is in denial. How I’d love to see one of these smug leftist get the fight club treatment on national TV.
Why is Rep Mical on this idiotic venue?
It’s the law! What an absolutely lame and completely indefensible position. The left CONSTANTLY attacks all sorts of laws it doesn’t like. That includes everything from repeatedly trying and retrying disputes in the courts (keep trying until a court agrees) to civil disobedience. Shoot. Obama isn’t even obeying Obamacare law. He illegally modified it to grant favors to special interests. What about illegal immigration? There are all sorts of laws against that, too.
It’s the law! What a joke!
I am starting to be hopeful that two days before the debt ceiling date hits, Congresscritters and Senators have an all out knock down drag out fight in the Capital. Just imagine the footage of Mcinsane and dingy Harry flopping around on the floor. America franky deserves this.
Then you can mark the date as the day America became a giant eurowennie state.
The only question is how does MSDNC stay on the air with those marroons.

Unpleasant as it must be to appear on such a show, somebody has to speak to the idiots who listen to Sharpton and Co. Otherwise they will NEVER hear the other side of the argument. Maybe a few listeners will start to wake up. Although I must say, anyone who could stand listening to Sharpton probably has irreversibly lost his mind.

The one big part that I will shout from the rooftops is the law requiring ID to vote.
I say the right to vote and keep and bear arms hold the same muster.

Why do our congressmen NEVER know how to handle these clowns. The next time not-so-Sharpton explodes on air, simply respond sarcastically.
“Yes, Al. We shut down the government, and resist you much.”
That would shut him up.

Mica— FL Repub Rep. who beat out a tea party challenger. Mica has brought home the bacon in the form of a “light rail” debacle that is screwing up Central FL commercial freight rail and is a boondoggle of several hundred millions. While true the interstate is a nightmare... yet to be seen once it is open the ridership vs. the cost/subsidy (as always).
Mica is a moderate really— and Sanford (Trayvon land) is in his district... so there is that.
