Obamacare Website Closed for Repairs This Weekend
by Ben Shapiro 4 Oct 2013, 5:03 PM PDT post a comment Like a flaming Chevy Volt brought back to the shop for repairs, the Obamacare federal health insurance exchange website has now been recalled. The application part of the site, healthcare.gov, will be taken down during off-hours over the weekend, and will be unavailable for public use which does not truly differentiate it from its current status.
The Obamacare launch has been nothing short of disastrous for the Obama administration, particularly given the supposed urgency of implementing Obamacare that President Obama has claimed as the rationale for refusal to negotiate over the government shutdown. On September 27, CBS News reported, Obamacares success may hinge on a website. By October 4, even Obama acolytes like the Washington Posts Ezra Klein and Evan Soltas labeled healthcare.gov really bad. They wrote, the Obama administration doesn't have a basically working product that would be improved by a software update. They have a Web site that almost nobody has been able to successfully use. If Apple launched a major new product that functioned as badly as Obamacare's online insurance marketplace, the tech world would be calling for Tim Cook's head.
The Obamacare websites launch was so poor that Sarah Kliff of the Post similarly reported that the media was struggling to find anyone who had been able to enroll in Obamacare. Were told they do exist and are indeed real people, she wrote. On Friday, Kliff believed she had discovered such a person: one Chad Henderson. There was only one problem, as Kliff later learned: Henderson was an Organizing for Action volunteer, and never enrolled at all.

The ObamaBots have to “salt” the stats so they aren’t so puny when they report them. If those millions of young people don’t foolishly sign up, ObamaDon’tCare is toast.
Were is suxnet when you need it? ;-)
Actually the website was done by Canadians LOL
furlough the websites.
Nail it Shut.
Gubment workers screwed this up during their weekdays. I doubt they work weekends and if they do, it will be especially shoddy work.
With all the problems they’ve had rolling it out, you’d think that the left would be embracing a one year delay...not fighting it.
GEeez...glad DEar Leader’s IT crew doesn’t run the stock exchange!
“The ObamaBots have to salt the stats so they arent so puny when they report them. If those millions of young people dont foolishly sign up, ObamaDontCare is toast.”
If their goal is to sign up 7 million in 90 days,,that’s about 34k+ a day,,,not happening or we’d hear it shouted from the rooftops!
Sorry, I think their goal is 7 million in 6 months,,for those who are realizing my math was off. It was!
Having the website fail buys the Regime time from the otherwise inevitable insurrection by his supporters. The problem for Obama comes not from the House Republicans but from the unions and other supporters who will be repulsed by this abomination.
Please link me to that thread.
I'm also very certain there have been lots of "it is exactly what I asked for, but it is not what I wanted" moments.
The Democrats deserve these results.

i thought all but essential federal employees were furloughed? are these IT folks who will work on this website more essential than the doctors at NIH who would be trying out experimental drug trials on children with cancer if it weren’t for the government shutdown?
And here I almost thought they’d noticed what raging hypocrites they are leaving that site up and deliberately taking many other public-facing sites down.
So, is there some reason the contractor couldn’t have simulated a year ago several million users attempting to use the web site simultaneously?
Look, the people running this show have never launched a website before. Nor have they ever, in their lives, sold an insurance policy.
So, what would you expect?
They've never run a hospital, either. Nor do they know squat about medicine.
But they're going to handle health care for 300 million people. And that's not going to work any better than their website.
Count on it...
If you visit the Obamacare website, you’re almost guaranteed to be a loser. Either you won’t get anywhere, you’ll be offered a policy you can’t afford, or you’ll decline the policy and be fined by the federal government.
They could not make it work with two years, what makes them think they can get it to work over the weekend.
