Boys who fought in shirtsleeves then fight in their ball caps and T-shirts now.

LOL...”it was deemed a First Amendment demonstration.” Did Nancy Pelousey write that excuse for you bureaucrats to cover Obama’s skinny butt because this made government look terrible?

I hope they did this in defiance of Dear Leader’s orders.

How can the Administration block access to a memorial supported through private donations?

I hear you. The turkey in the WH has shown us for years he thinks he can do whatever he wants and he’s ignored laws, rules and precedents many times, he’s despicable.

Time to protect the White Hut with a double ring of DC Transit buses again.

There’s a photo floating around - a gentleman holding up a sign “Mr. President, Congress: Tear Down This Wall”

Gotta love it.

Call Obama’s bluff. Just fund the Park Service. Then watch dingy Harry squirm.

I agree. I have been there several times and it is so huge and complex that it is incoherent. The simplicity of the Iwo Jima memorial is much more powerful.

I was one of the Vietnam veterans who was very opposed to the wall before it was built. Once I saw it in person I knew it was the perfect memorial. It was overwhelming emotionally, but very dignified physically.

It feels like you are wandering around an enormous mausoleum where the states are buried.

The war dead are nameless 1/100ths of stars in an idea stolen from the Langley memorial wall.

You walk away from the Vietnam wall moved each time. You sense the human cost.

You walk away from this monument cold.

This is stupid, for areas that don’t require government workers (except for litter pickup) THESE AREAS DON’T NEED SHUTDOWN: What a vindictive “Rat” this administration is. Reminds me a two year old that doesn’t get his way..!

Tried already. Harry said no to funding NPS.

Nevada is a purple state. People need to get out to their (closed) National Parks to protest. Nevada has two such parks. As this is partisan and we want to avoid conflict each party should get one park to invade for protests against the other sides actions/inactions in DC. To be fair we'll assign them alphabetically. The GOP goes to the unstaffed Great Basin National Park. The Democrats go to the unstaffed Death Valley National Park. And see which team can protest the loudest and longest. Work hard for our GOP team! Make Harry reach deeply into his Vegas reserves for this one.
