I listened to a history of Speaker Boehner’s career, and he was supposedly like Senator Cruz at one time. Believe it not, he was a strong conservative once upon a time. It must be disappointing to have accomplished so little in such a career. If there’s a conservative bone left somewhere in Boehner’s body, let’s hope he retires with a bang.

There’s one thing I appreciate about President Obama’s administration. His disdain for everything that made this country great is palpable, and the Democrats no longer even try to hide their agenda. They led a largely covert operation for decades, mouthing platitudes about respect for the law, etc. If we can think the deal president for anything, it’s for bringing the left out into the open!

So what does this have to do with Speaker Boehner? There’s very little room for compromise left. At some point, Boehner either has to take a stand or sit idly by while the left fundamentally transforms America. Let’s hope he’s made the right decision, and if he has, we should support him all the way.

That's interesting and a good point. I vaguely recall that when he was made Speaker, people had initially felt fairly positive about him. Obama sure got him to knuckle under fast enough. I guess Boehner just wasn't a fighter, or didn't realize, perhaps, that the whole battle had changed.
