I can believe it. Saw just a few minutes of the 6:30pm NBC news last night... at the end of the piece about the WWII veterans being locked out (but eventually let in) from seeing their WWII monument, you were more than ready to blame Republicans.

I heard part of Rush's open where he said that there is basically no down side for zero ignoring our side. Basically, as long as the drivebys are on his side he can lie his way to victory. That's probably true.Makes it hard to win this issue.

I don't believe it was for “theater” at all.
I believe it was one of many deliberate acts to cause the most pain, harm and inconvenience to the most Americans possible by that arrogant, egotistical, petulant creature in the WH. After all, the order to close the memorials came from the Office of Management and Budget in the WH.
