A series of leaked emails from House Speaker John Boehner’s chief of staff, Mike Sommers, show that the Speaker may have coordinated with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) to exempt Congress from Obamacare.
The emails were leaked Tuesday by David Krone, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s chief of staff, who actually has a history of this sort of thing.
The leaks, which are a major taboo in Washington, show Rep. Boehner (R-Ohio) worked behind the scenes earlier this year to address confusion over a provision in the Affordable Care Act that would force members of Congress and their aides into the exchanges. In fact, if one were to go by the leaks, which were first given to Politico, it appears that the offices of Boehner and Reid regularly coordinated to exempt Congress from the health care law.
But given that the Speaker is now apparently against congressional Obamacare exemptions, the emails make him look inconsistent and hypocritical – which may have been the point of their leaking.

did you really need these leaked emails to come to this conclusion? i think most people here already knew what Boehner was about... at this point, we need to keep the pressure on him... and then primary him OUT!

As of the 2012 election, I’m done voting Republican until the GOP decides to become an effective opposition to the Dems. Cruz, Lee and company are a good start, but they can only do so much until the Weeper and McConnell and the rest of their merry band of RINOs are out of office.
This might lead to a new House leader being chosen.
Boner proves what many have known for some time...he is dhimmicrap-lite, and has NO business in ANY leadership role in the US House of Representatives; or his local PTA for that matter.
So much slime and scum in DC, might be necessary to drain the swamp entirely and start with some fresh fill.
Why not get out of 0bamacare if you can?

We already knew Boehner didn’t want it.
I sure as hell can fault someone for figuring out a way to get an exemption. IF that person is the leader and the people he represents have no escape hatch.
Example,,,How do you feel about ejection seats only for the pilots on airliners, leaving the poor schlubs in the back to their fate?
How do you feel about a rifle company commander extracted from a doomed perimeter?
Its a responsibility of leadership.

They DIDN”T LEAK ANYTHING!!! They released them on purpose.
These were leaked yesterday, there were at least a couple threads on it.
In the micro, it looks really bad for Boehner, certainly.
But much more important here is the macro: by releasing these Reid is firebombing any back channel relationship he may have with Boehner and Republicans. This is SERIOUSLY scorched-earth stuff. I can’t understate that enough. Reid just pulled a Cortez, burning his ships so there’s no path of retreat.
Now start leaking the emails from Harry Reid, Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

This is about his own healthcare coverage and the coverage of his family.
Boner voted against Obamacare and said it was bad. He would look like a fool if he now got in line at the exchange to get coverage for his family.
