Average Cost Of Obamacare 'Silver' Plan - $328 Per Month
forbes ^ | 9/29/2013 | Dan Munro

That amount – $328 per month – is the national average for the mid-tier “silver” premium based on HHS calculations for approved plans in 48 states. The challenge, of course, is that like all of healthcare itself, your mileage will vary.

Both individual and family insurance rates will vary dramatically based on a host of variables. Those variables – age, marital status, geographic location and income – will each have a significant impact on the final monthly amount.

The most difficult single component in the equation is income – which determines the amount of Federal subsidy any given taxpayer will receive toward the purchase of coverage on the individual state run public exchanges.

This doesn't count the deductible, 30% patient responsibility and co-pays.

Good Luck stupid Libs!

Is that per person? If it is than a family of four would be over $1,300. per month plus co-pay and deductibles.

From Obamacare Facebook page.

"I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable.""

The way I heard, you have to register for obamacare before you see what plans are available.

Talk about a scam...

What happens when someone moves to another state, particularly moving from TX, a low-cost state, to IN, a high-cost state? Does the government get to pocket another premium?

Who thinks the same bunch that can’t keep track of military equipment and State Dept. computers can keep track of millions of health care policies? You have be be insane.

The deductible argument is a trap - because the only way, as in the ONLY way - to drive down medical costs is to have what the old “major medical” policies did, which was to cover only the big ticket item. The “insurance” was not expensive, because processing co pays and such is what makes a 50 dollar scrip cost 175 anyway, with a 20 or 50 dollar copay or whatever.

HHS has said that they would probably NOT allow private high deductible plans to remain. Here the libs may have swerved into a good idea, but of course, they won’t be smart enough to figure it out.

None of the insurance responsibility will kick in until the deductible is met. I wish the media would make sure these Obamanites know that the deductible is yearly. If you get sick in November then that's one deductible and then again in February that's another.

“Federal Subsidy” no, we should start calling this “taxpayer funded subsidy”

So very sorry that the feral government now has all your information and can threaten you and track you down until you submit. This shameful oppression of innocent citizens will lead to a massive lack of trust among those who had no idea this would happen.

More than almost ANY policy I have experience with.

What a boondoggle! Wait till people find out they will have to pay over three hundred per member of the family. They are going to poop! Insurance is supposed to protect your assets in the event of a catastrophic illness, not cause you to lose your assets just to pay for your premiums.

Good job Obama!

Yes, it’s one person. A family of 4 making $50,000 a year will be eligible for about a 40% subsidy, making their monthly premium around $780 a month.

I bet the idiot also gave the Government their information too so it should be easy for the IRS agents to track them down.
