Betsy McCaughey made a great point tonight in an interview with Mark Levin, noting that the Affordable Care Act that was passed by Congress, signed by Obama and upheld by the Supreme Court is not the same law that Obama is currently imposing on the American people. McCaughey says that with all the changes Obama has made to ACA, it is now nothing more than a ‘distorted little piece of the Affordable Care Act’ and says it doesn’t have the status of law because it’s not what they passed:
MCCAUGHEY: I have the Obama health law right here in front of me and I think about how different what the president’s health reform today is from that law. I hear the Democrats say all the time ‘well it was passed by Congress, it was signed by the president and it was vetted by the Supreme Court.’ But what the president is imposing on us today is not the Affordable Care Act.
LEVIN: Stop! Stop! That is a very important point. Wait a minute, Congress passed, the president signed, the Supreme Court upheld…and your point is since then Obama has changed the law and nobody and nothing has passed on that. Brilliant!
MCCAUGHEY: Oh yes exactly. He has stripped the employer mandate, income verification, caps on out of pocket expenses, over half the statutory deadlines in the law. So now he’s had this very distorted little piece of the Affordable Care Act and he’s tacked new things onto it, 1472 waivers. And how about this new subsidy for members of Congress that he weaseled through without congressional approval. All of this means that this reform doesn’t have the status of law.

The House funded the laws..
and the EXECUTIVE was supposed to implement (execute) laws
The Executive re-writing laws isn't within his perview, and is a violation of his oath of office : "To execute the law..",
furthermore , it offsets the system of checks and balances that our republic depends on .
I guess , since he has his own man in the dept. of " JUST-US ", he figures he is above the law, much less obey the law .

I think you’re right but I doubt the Repubs have the guts for this fight. My red line was crossed when Chrysler went bk and bammy stole the bondholders equity and gave it to the UMW. He broke the contract between me and the Federal government at that point. Join the party.

Those were interpretations of the law by the bureaucracy.
The passed law was 1800 pages, as I remember.
The law , along with the bureaucratic interpretations now runs 7 1/2 feet tall ~ that isn't just 1800 pages !

Betsy is the expert on Obamacare, so if she says it - it must be so.
In much of the HC bill, the language used was “as the secretary shall deem necessary” or something to that effect.. which is vague and allows for some flexibility. However, the waivers were not part of the original law.

The Repubs blew it back when the House sent over a Bill which the Senate gutted then inserted the ACA. THAT was when the battle should’ve occurred and FOUL been declared.
Someone early on should have asked the president if he would resign if his promises proved false.
It is not too late to ask the man this on future promises.

Thanks for the video. Betsy is on of the few people who has actually read the bill, understands it, and is able to explain it. She warned about the navigators - essentially a new ACORN type group, when no one else was talking about them.
It was 2700 pages plus a few. Nancy Pelosi also verified that Obama was the President. Remember that? We all know Congress puts amendments in other bills to hide them; however, this is not the original bill signed into law. We also all know the original Obamacare is illegal and really not the law.
