NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Police have arrested one of the bikers involved in the initial incident that lead to the vicious attack of a man driving his family in Manhattan, the NYPD said. Meantime, some people are saying the driver is not the victim because one of the bikers he ran over is in a coma.
Video posted to YouTube from the helmet camera worn by a motorcyclist shows a pack of bikers attacking the driver of an SUV following a fender bender on the West Side Highway on Sunday afternoon.
Christopher Cruz, 28, was charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, endangering the welfare of a child and menacing. He was not injured in the accident.
The driver of the black Range Rover -- Alexian Lien, 33 -- was with his wife and young child inside when he struck a motorcycle that was in front of his car, police said. In the video, Lien is seen stopping the SUV and then speeding away and striking three motorcycles when the group began to damage his SUV.

I’ll go you one better. There was a second biker a-hole who was injured pretty badly when the suv had to flee the initial assualt. If said a-hole dies, every one of those biker scumbags can be charged with murder. They were all party to a crime (assualt of the SUV owner) when one of their accomplices was killed. I believe that under NY state law all of the criminal accomplices can be charged in that death.

Read the story again. Your assumptions are wrong. He did pull over, then they started hitting his car with helmets, then he ran over the 3 bikes and allegedly injured one of the Bikers.

I watched the video twice. We disagree. If the guy was afraid of bikers, why not pull over to let them pass instead of traveling in their group?

I would have hit a lot more of them. This guy panicked and didn’t really try to.
There was a minor fender bender to start, and the SUV driver pulled over to try and take care of that issue. The bikers then started damaging his vehicle and threatening him. Rather than get out, and put himself, his wife, and his small hold into danger, he fled...running over a couple of bikes as he did so.
The bikers gave chase and kept trying to open his door, or break his window...but the guy kept getting away.
The SUV driver really messed up when he got off of the freeway and got caught up in traffic. That’s when one biker used his helmet to break the driver’s window and pull him out of h car and beat him.
IMHO, what the driver needed at the end was a conceal carry 9mm or .45 with. High capacity magazine.

He should have gone serpentine in their asses when they were following them, then thrown it into reverse at top speed when he was blocked.
There should be 20 bikers in the hospital and this guy should be giving interviews from his living room, not recovering in a hospital room.
The SUV driver’s mistake was one of timidity.

These motorcyclists groups menace people in New Jersey &NY. I’ve had to pull my car over for these freaks but why should I? I pay a high monetary price to ride our roads.
They targeted and swarmed the guy. He stopped and they started breaking his windows in. What would you do if gang members tried getting into your car with a wife and child inside. I would hit every one to escape.

Why was he afraid of the bikers .... not because they were well behaved, it’s because they caused the accident and then attacked him. He did pull over and was attacked yet again.
Go dude, I rode a Motorcycle for 8 years. On a motorcycle you *don’t* start a pissing contest with a car, cars don’t start pissing contests with Tractor Trailers, and Tractor Trailers don’t start pissing contests with trains.
Do you understand, if you’re in an accident, you have absolutely no rights whatsoever to start a violent confrontation over it.
If everybody just realized they always have a yield sign in front of them the world would be a much better place.
