Qaeda Plot Leak Has Undermined U.S. Intelligence
New York Times ^ | September 29, 2013 | ERIC SCHMITT and MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT

As the nation’s spy agencies assess the fallout from disclosures about their surveillance programs, some government analysts and senior officials have made a startling finding: the impact of a leaked terrorist plot by Al Qaeda in August has caused more immediate damage to American counterterrorism efforts than the thousands of classified documents disclosed by Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor.

Since news reports in early August revealed that the United States intercepted messages between Ayman al-Zawahri, who succeeded Osama bin Laden as the head of Al Qaeda, and Nasser al-Wuhayshi, the head of the Yemen-based Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, discussing an imminent terrorist attack, analysts have detected a sharp drop in the terrorists’ use of a major communications channel that the authorities were monitoring. Since August, senior American officials have been scrambling to find new ways to surveil the electronic messages and conversations of Al Qaeda’s leaders and operatives.

The leaked terrorist plot. This country's security network, is like a submarine with a screen door, it's senior intelligence officers up to and including the president reveal the most coveted Intelligence secrets in deliberate subterfuge as merely only one component of the overall strategy to weaken, undermine the USA in every aspect of the country's ability to maintain itself, survive. This particularly devastating leak very well emanates from the highest echelons of the Mole House, the damage irreversible, the leak irretrievable, those within the coterie of weasels that feed off the the Chief Mole himself complicit in this intelligence disaster, incorrigible.

No doubt part of the same misbegotten, godforsaken presidential underlings that were singularly responsible for the death of our greatest heroes shot out of the sky with information from within the Valerie Jarret fudge-pack squad.

Since W acquiesced to the building of a MASSIVE Homeland Security bureaucracy, there are doubtless hundreds or thousands of Federal employees who have access to such information.

No way in Hades one can keep a secret when THAT many people are in on it.

This was leaked at the top. It was either Obama or one of his honchos that revealed it in an interview or public talk.

I suggest it was leaked on purpose by someone wanting to see how we respond to an imminent attack.

Someone from within must come forth with information to bring these punks in the white house down.

My guess is that this had the effect that Obama intended. And that was to protect Al Qaeda and the like.

Gee, do you really think Zero or a guy like DCI Brennan would have any reason at all to warn his co-religionists of the US "threat" to their war-plan-disguised-as-a-religion, Islam?
