DC Chapter ping
It’s good to know that y’all were there to represent us!
Great job, BufordP and Angelwood!!
God bless.
Thanks for the report. I love hearing that the DC group is still active and representing all FReepers.
Well, it’s not like I’d pass up Filet Mignon and an open bar.
hey, kewel!
Mean spirited arrogant condescending liberals—a great chant always!
Great AAR!! Thanks so much for sharing. Sounds like it was a wonderful event!
Great AAP. Looks like y’all had a ball.
Cheers,
Otter
That was a Doctor Raoul ditty. :D
Oh my what wonderful reporting of a. Exceptional evening. Thank you so very much! Hi n love to you both from NE Ohio
Thanks, BufordP, I enjoyed our night out.
Thank you, Jim. God Bless to you — we’ll keep you in our prayers.
Chris Plante is awesome. While I’d say he leans more libertarian than conservative, he’s a blessing for the DC/MD area. For a short time, WMAL replaced him with (of ALL people) Joe Scarborough (”Morning Joe”) and it was a freakin’ DISASTER! But callers prevailed and convinced the stupid jerks in management that it was in their best interest to bring Chris back!
Last week he did a rant about the kids in VA who were expelled (ooooh, excuse me, “long-term suspended”) for playing with toy guns on private property. It was one for the ages.
OMG! Were you two there, too? I never saw you!
DH Jim and I were there and AAMOF, I haven’t missed one since the first one we all went to back in ?’99?!!
I did look around to see if anyone was familiar, during the cocktail hour — except for our heroes — Cal Thomas, Hayes, Terry Jeffries, and a few other familiar faces, all I saw was a wonderful sea of conservatives. Always so nice to be with people of similar political feelings!
When we got home, I looked to see if the Gala was mentioned on FR, but it wasn’t, so I wondered if the interest had died down.
As usual, it was a wonderful and fun night, and I loved the new way of selecting the winners. With so many tables voting, it ran quite smoothly. Interesting that Chris Matthews only had two nominations instead of his usual 3 or 4. So glad he did win one of them!!!
A real treat was Mike Lee and his two big laughs with the renaming of the award — as being a Morman — he didn’t swear, AND — the definition of the word Politics! LOLOL!
But really sorry I didn’t see you FRiends! Happy, tho, that you did put this thread up, and it was a great review of the night. Thanks!
Unbelievable! We sat at table 65 on the right side of the banquet room. Where were you?
>> Pictures won’t be ready until October 16.
Video?
46 on the left. I would have squeezed in at your table if I saw you!! Anything to be on the right!!
How did you manage that? ;-)
