Sen. John McCain has hired a controversial Syria analyst who recently was fired by one D.C. organization and resigned from another after it emerged that she inflated her academic credentials.
The Republican senator's office confirmed to Fox News that Elizabeth O'Bagy was hired as a legislative assistant, and will start work next week.
"Elizabeth is a talented researcher, and I have been very impressed by her knowledge and analysis in multiple briefings over the last year. I look forward to her joining my office," McCain said in a statement.

Reminds me of the old joke about the CEO hiring a financial guy. Three candidates. He asks the first what is 2 plus 2, guy smiles and says for of course. CEO says not you, same question to number 2. He says well, how about a number between 3 and 5. He says, not you either. Says to third candidate what is your answer. Guy says what do you want it to be...CEO says you are hired and start today.
McLame just wants what used to be known as a yes man, this time it is a yes woman.
Fake but accurate?
George Soros probably recommended her to Hanoi John McQaeda
He was a member of the "Keating 5" in the 1980s, helping to cause the S&L crisis.
In 1993 he was one of the authors of the report that stated "no compelling evidence that proves that any American remains alive in captivity in Southeast Asia."
He has close ties to the gambling industry.
His signature legislative contribution is "McCain/Feingold", a bill regulating "soft money" contributions, you know, like free trips on Keating's corporate jets. As a side note he doesn't have to worry about things like campaign contributions - His wife is the heiress to the Hensley & Co. fortune. Hensley distributes for Anheuser-Busch and if you drink Bud in AZ, you support McCain's re-election efforts.
He once supported closing Gitmo but shut up about it in the run-up to the 2010 primary.
He coauthored the DREAM act but voted against it in 2010.
He wants the US to get involved in the Syrian mess.
He stabbed conservatives in the back on the cloture vote and went on to bad mouth those who would de-fund Obamacare.
On the other side, he's vocally pro-life, opposed gays in the military and opposed most of the bank bailout legislation in 2009.
I think most conservatives, and even a lot of Republicans, in Arizona would be very happy if he were to take early retirement.
Lets be honest.....from a hundred senators...there’s fifty of these dimwits who are led by gatekeepers within their staffs. They show up on some show, run through a couple of 3x5 cards and put up an act. I appreciate the British system where you show up in Parliament and capable of arguing points.
He’s a demented troll.
Deservers repeating:
Based on his support of the Al Qaeda in Syria and protection of their "journalist" agent, if you dug deep enough, you might find these.
Woo! The dirt they must have on McCain.
She is kind of a hotty, though.
Not that you should worry about such things, Mrs. McCain.

These days the only sources for real (and truthful) news are foreign sources. Thank God for the UK press. By the way, I also trust Pravda more than I do any of the American Democrat mainstream newsrooms. No joke.
And of course, by far the best place for getting the stories, along with intelligent dissection and analysis, is right here at Free Republic where you can also discover other alternatives to the slobbering, lazy, incompetent, American Democrat newsrooms.
Thanks for the link to Lee Stranahan’s blog.
...think about that while 90 million of you are job hunting. :)
That thought crossed my mind, too. After the truth came out about her credentials, did she then go looking for him or did he go looking for her?
Liars hire Liars.
LOL...that’s what I was thinking first!! But I think it’s just as I said...a Liar hiring another LIAR!
