However, in the interests of accuracy I have to say that he did NOT vote for cloture.Good catch. I actually did know that but fouled it up in the cut-and-paste. On the other hand, Flake has not put any distance between himself and McCain so we are free to infer from that how he would have voted.

Wallace was keeping Kaine and Lee on the topic of the cost of health insurance and doing a good job of contrasting what Obama has promised and the actual conflict with, imo, his deliberate misinformation to the American public.
The 2014 coverage for me and my husband has sizable increases in co-pays and deductibles. The contractor who graveled our driveway this week has been hit hard with the increases in his health insurance. Same story from everybody I talk to.

The Fox panel is totally worthless. Fox has had a shift in its definition of “fair and balanced.” Is it because of influence of the Saudi investors in Murdock’s company?

Calculus seems to be the latest buzzword.Gravitas must be all used up.
Ironic, isn't it, journalists who can't balance a checkbook speaking oh so seriously of 'calculus'.

Looks like the Dems are going back to the problem with Obamacare is the evil insurance companies. Next stop, nationalization of HC.

A jackass parade.
A bunch of insider jackasses nodding and winking, ignoring the elephant in the room.... Ted Cruz.

(Surprise, Brit thinks a goverment shutdown will be a disaster for the Republicans.) I think Hume is right IF Republicans fail to get our side of all this out to voters. We cannot sit back and think people will understand, we have to drive the issue home to them on every front. Much like Cruz is doing today, it's up to all of us to get the facts out and counter the media/press.

How do you know what the Medicare Part B premium will be? AFAIK, it hasn’t been released for 2014. It isn’t on the Medicare web site and if you call and ask they say they don’t know how much it will be and further, don’t know when it will be released.
FWIW, my Med D is up 21.62% for next year, assuming I stay with the same vendor.

The difference is now people don’t have to rely on the establishmedia to explain Obamacare. The internet is exploding on this debate and the ones who matter are getting the information.
You will never convince Dems, but you are getting your voters educated about this trainwreck and they are already scared.

Juan Williams is such a doofus.
He says historically we get played when we capitulate with bad actors, then he says this is a historic moment in that we have the chance to not get played while Obama capitulates with bad actors.

our side of all this Our side of this should be:
"The government" is trying to shut down the economy.
Which would you rather have, ever increasing hoards of money grubbing bureaucrats....or a thronging vibrant job-rich economy?

I think Britt may be right and I say let the chips fall. The Republicans have avoided taking hard stands because of the possibility and often probability of untenable consequences to the party. If we continue to buckle to the socialist democrat party we might as well merge with them now and be done with our representative government which affords at least some opposition to their insanity.

Spot on, mountainfolk. Green Eggs created the most endearing photo of the week; his daughters in pj’s scrunched up to the TV screen. Priceless. Bet Dave doesn’t show that.
