My son was driving her and friend home the other day. They were both in the back seat carrying on a conversation which he overheard. Friend made some comment about Obama and granddaughter quickly responded "We don't like Obama". Friend says "Why?"

Granddaughter replies "Because Obama takes money from hard working people like my dad and gives it to people who sit around all day and don't do anything."

Seems pretty clear that the party out of power, which is by definition, leaderless is no longer so. We've needed someone unafraid to defend our positions....someone to say "your premise is wrong" (as Ted did this morning).

We can win this debate with an effective leader/spokesperson, whom we're eager to follow. Cruz fits the bill.

Maybe this shutdown will FINALLY force the people inside the Beltway to realize that our government is ballooning WAY out of control with budget deficits since 2009 of over US$1 TRILLION per year.

Obama Claims That Debt Is Under Control

There are two things I have not heard being discussed in connection with the Obamacare legislation. Why is there no moratorium on immigration into the US at this time when our govt claims that already millions of our own citizens are too poor to afford healthcare? Also, providing free care for those who are without the means to take care of themselves could not possibly cost what the taxpayers are going to pay for the new army of govt workers hired to facilitate and enforce Obamacare.
And of course there is always the billions of taxpayer dollars the US sends to foreign countries to squander on God knows what.
