Christians are being singled out and massacred from Pakistan to Syria to the Nairobi shopping mall. Kirsten Powers on the deafening silence from U.S. pews and pulpits.
Christians in the Middle East and Africa are being slaughtered, tortured, raped, kidnapped, beheaded, and forced to flee the birthplace of Christianity. One would think this horror might be consuming the pulpits and pews of American churches. Not so. The silence has been nearly deafening.

WHY????!!!!!
Why is no one speaking out? To keep silent is condoning the actions against them.
Rand generally doesn’t get the Middle East (or Islam) right.
While Rand’s criticism of his fellow Senators would have been valid, had it been offered while the Obama Admin was busily arming Morsi’s Muslim-Brotherhood-controlled regime, by the time he levelled the criticism, the Morsi regime was already being toppled by the current al-Sisi regime. The al-Sisi regime has shown no reason not to be supported, as it is ruthlessly crushing the Muslim Brotherhood (whose representatives are found in various positions of influence throughout the Obama Administration), but has also been sympathetic to the Christians who have been the constant targets of Muslim-Brotherhood rage.
I listen to such a pastor on the internet, and his church is in Alabama. I am stuck in communist and apostate Red Hampshire where you would NEVER find a pastor such as you describe.
As an interesting aside, I didn’t know Kirsten Powers was Orthodox. Does anyone know if this is truly the case?
Our church prays for these persecuted Christians continually. I post every article I read about the persecution and slaughter of Christians overseas. But this is the difference between Christianity and Islam. One is a religion of freedom and love. The other is a hating death cult.
orthodox left winger she is
They are too busy recycling, boycotting Exxon, working for Social Justice (living wages, no criminal background checks) than to care that Christians are being murdered.
bingo.
Islam is a war plan.
Please share the good pastors name. I too am hungry for the true word of God to be preached!
I try to say a prayer every day for those who are persecuted in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. I also pray for Christians here in the states to have the courage and conviction to stand solid in our faith and continue to preach the good news, true love and peace of Jesus Christ in the face of every increasing persecution.
Perhaps not, but I haven’t seen them complaining about the deaths of Christians in the Middle East, but I have seen them working hard for immigrants and illegals.
my church mentions it along with the dismemberment and murder of babies almost every Sunday
LMAO!!
Thank you for speaking the unspoken! In the past couple of years I have attended services at several Christian denominations, and NOT ONE has even bothered to mention the systematic slaughter of Christians.
did you forget the Philippines?
>>Good for you guys, but what good has it done? Why are Christians and non-Muslims being slaughtered after all your prayers? Where is your god to stop this? Seems apparent to me he’s just kicking back after creating the universe/planet and watching what happens. So it’s up to us to stop these savages.
We embraced multi-culti and the religion of diversity that demands that we accept all worldviews as legitimate and equal.
We allowed our politicians to subvert the Constitution in exchange for handouts.
We applauded the idea of using up the world’s oil first, while we sat on our own energy reserves, and now we’re shocked that the nations we’ve bought oil from for a half century have all of our money.
We used up our military on “regime change” wars that don’t address the fundamental problem: Islam. In fact, we help Islam move in and take over after we’ve destroyed the old regimes.
We run and hide when some leftist attorney threatens a lawsuit to remove a nativity scene...but we get angry at a minimum wage cashier at Target she wishes us “Happy Holidays”.
We “turn down” the gospel to make it more “accepting” of those who choose sin over sanctification.
We build mega-churches to appeal to the consumer mentality of our people and then wonder why we aren’t creating real disciples.
So, where is “our” God in this? He’s stuck in the closet...right where we put Him. And you are more guilty than many of us because he isn’t “your” God too.
Indeed, jesus never criticized the gays or false religions (sarc off)
These churches are failing like St Peter: they deny christ before the rooster crries three times.
Kirsten Powers articles are always interesting.
I just wish it wasn't about such a grim subject. She was hoping made with Udombo and wants him to give back his Peace Prize over his "Apathy" (really its worse than that) regarding the War in Syria.
If America isn’t appalled at child sacrifice, don’t hold your breath about anything that really matters.
