Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday appeared to confirm that he plotted with House conservatives to prevent Republican leadership from shifting strategy in the government shutdown fight.
Weve had numerous conversations with numerous members of the House, Cruz (R-Texas) said after the Senate approved a continuing resolution that was amended by Democrats to preserve funding for ObamaCare.

The conversations indicate that Cruz is seeking to wield influence not only in the Senate but in the House, where the leadership can afford only 16 defections if it wants to pass legislation without relying on Democrats.
A Boehner spokesman declined to comment.

You’re so right. Senator Cruz is showing us and Congress that you can stand up and fight. That the base (the country) is ready to follow a leader. It encourages others, fires up the base and with enough momentum can put the breaks on this slippery slope to communism.
Taking up for Obama?
No, I added to the point you made, to clarify that an impossible to function law CANNOT be made to work.
You need to re-think this. I couldn’t possibly be taking up for Obama, since Obama is to blame for why we have this impossible to implement law.
It was his law. It was what he wanted, what he shoved down our throat. It was an impossible monstrosity. I don’t know anyone here on FR who doesn’t know that.
And I don’t know anyone here who doesn’t 100% blame OBAMA for it.
BUt if you insist in living a fantasy life in your mind that I’m taking up for Obama, my answer to that would be, don’t post to “bert” ever again.
I won’t waste your time or mine, in that case.
WHAT is so difficult about Republicans making the case that only the Enemy of America, OBAMA, can shut down the government? What is so hard about telling the truth? Bob
People DON’t follow titles. They follow courage.
William Wallace was correct.
Obama to Republicans: ‘I will not negotiate’>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Then he will be impeached. The president must negotiate.
Or he is gone.
I also hope Ted Cruz is talking to Tom DeLay.
Watch how it is done, young padawan.
I like how the title says House consevatives, and not House republicans...hehehe, there is a HUGE difference!!!
