Today, I proudly voted to Defund Obamacare, and I am proud that every Senate Republican has united in support of the House-passed Defund Obamacare provision.
I only wish that more Senate Democrats, many of whom were responsible for Obamacares passage into law, would have voted with us. (NOTE: The amendment to remove the Defund Obamacare provision, which passed the House, was defeated by the Democrat-controlled Senate by a straight party-line vote of 44-54.)
With Democrats in control of the Senate, we needed Democrats to join with the American people who want Obamacare stopped in its tracks. Based upon the Democrats unanimous votes in support of funding Obamacare, they must not have gotten the message.
I fought and voted against Obamacare in 2010. Since then, I have tried to stop the law's implementation any way I can:
* Supported ending the special exemption for Congress from Obamacare; * Supported ending the special exemption for President Obama from Obamacare; * Authored legislation to allow states to opt-out of Obamacare; * Cosponsored legislation to repeal Obamacare; * Cosponsored legislation to prohibit the funding of Obamacare; * Cosponsored legislation which defunds the IRS' implementation of Obamacare; * Cosponsored a bill to repeal the individual mandate in Obamacare; * Sent a letter with my Republican colleagues requesting the Obama Administration grant relief to all Americans by delaying implementation of Obamacare so Congress can adopt common-sense reforms; and * Offered an amendment to defund implementation of the individual and employer mandates required under Obamacare.
Obamacare is, has been, and will remain a financial disaster for our nation.
He voted to”De-Fund”because it had NO MEANING!He’s up for re-election in 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He’s a lyin’ azz Graham cracka!
Depraved progressives are always proud of the damage they do if they can get something for themselves. Power, money, control. His bumper sticker should say “TRAITOR AND PROUD OF IT.”
Graham voted FOR cloture.
LYING SOB
Clearly this is the reason that all of the GOPe senators were so pissed off at Cruz. He exposed this meaningless vote for what it was - surrender.
The only vote that mattered in the Senate, like in the original passing of the 0bamacare monstrosity, was the vote for cloture. We needed 41 and only got 19?!
Except for that part when you allowed it to happen. You know the one, where you voted to stop Cruz's filibuster.

> Graham voted FOR cloture.
I just got that from reading the other posts.
Then he’s a bloody liar, as well as a poofter.
Ted Cruz is coming on with Hannity on the radio show at the bottom of the hour. He said some of what he is hearing about what is going on in the House he likes. He said this is not over by a long shot.
Everybody should go to Graham's facebook page and tell him that his trickery won't work, that we are not fooled and he must be defeated.
He’s probably referring to the vote after cloture.
Capping a dramatic and chaotic week on Capitol Hill, the Senate on Friday approved a critical budget bill that would fund the government past Sept. 30 — but only after Democrats succeeded in stripping a Republican-backed provision to defund ObamaCare.
The final vote was 54-44.
The bill now returns to the House, and is seen by some lawmakers as a sort of legislative hot potato. If the two chambers cannot agree on a final bill by midnight on Monday, then the government will shut down. Neither side wants to be left holding the bill if that happens.
House Republicans are under heavy pressure, now, from fellow conservatives to stand by their demand that ObamaCare be defunded, or least delayed.
House Speaker John Boehner already indicated that he will not accept the Senate-passed bill in its current form. The House is expected to take up the legislation starting on Saturday.
Earlier Friday, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid narrowly won approval to restore funding for ObamaCare. The 54-44 vote fell along party lines.

His staff will probably get us all kicked off FB for telling the truth.
Sanctimonious little twit.
Oops, he tried, but poor Lindseed
can't seem to get his act together.
It isn’t over. IF anything my resolve to fight against the senators that caved is stronger now than ever.
Right.... His constituents are to ignore the vote that mattered—the cloture vote, and just look at his vote on the one he knew had no chance of passing.
If cloture failed there could be no vote at all? And, then, no funding of any of government?
My head is hurting. Why is the vote to have ended debate bad?
He voted for it before he voted against it. Oh, wasn’t that John F-——g Kerry?
