Dear GOP: Been Nice Knowin', Ya. Don't Let the Door Hit Your Sorry....
self

Posted on 09/27/2013 11:23:12 AM PDT by DJ Frisat

Dear GOP,

You've pulled the football away from us for the last time. From now on, my default preference in ANY election is no longer Republican. I will vote for select individuals whom I think I can trust, not who feed me a line of B.S. and then back away when safely ensconced in office.

No yard signs. No contributions. No responding to polls. No personal campaigning among family and friends. No more holding my nose to vote for a moderate, RINO or 'the-lesser-of-two-evils'. I did that in an effort to avoid what I considered the worst-possible candidate for President ever foisted upon the country, and it failed twice. NEVER AGAIN. Be conservative and show sincere, healthy respect for the Constitution, and you have a chance to earn my vote. None others need reply.

I've never been a registered Republican, but as a conservative, that's the closest I could come to a party affiliation. NO MORE.

IF YOU THINK THE 'BASE' ABANDONED YOU IN THE 2012 ELECTIONS, YOU AIN'T SEEN NUTHIN' YET!

Sarah Palin has my support. Ted Cruz has my support and gratitude for his Herculean effort. A relative handful of others in the House and Senate get my support. That's about it.

C’mon in, the water’s fine.

Been indy since 2007. It’s one way to send a message. As the R party loses membership it will be forced to adjust.

If not, a third party will arise at some point.

Well one thing good came of this, we now know definitely who stands with us in the Senate (Not that many) and after the House gets done, we'll know definitely who stands with us there.

We know no such thing!
We know most of those against us....those who voted AYE.... but of those who voted NAY, I can think of at least two votes (Toomey and Graham) that were nothing but political expediency.

Nope. But I sure wish it would happen ASAP. Let the wackos have their communist “utopia”. The rest of us can go back to normal. With a BIIIIG fence & armed guards.

We should have “cast out” the damned commies in the 20s/ 30s, but Nooooo

I just sent this to the other soon to be ex-senator......

Senator Cornyn, I am deeply offended that you chose not to support Senator Cruz on the defunding of Obamacare. If I wanted a Senator to support the Democrat party, I would have voted for a Democrat. Since you have chosen to align yourself with that party against a conservative Republican like Ted Cruz and myself, you leave me no choice but to campaign enthusiastically to insure you are never re-elected. You are such a disappointment and I can't even imagine the shame you must be feeling for your lack of integrity towards your fellow Republicans and the people of Texas and the US. What a horrible way to end a career. Sincerely, my name former constituent Rockwall, Texas

The only hope that we really have is a General rises up, cleans house and then retires to private life as did George Washington. However, due to historical factors, we will not raise up such a noble man ever again. The coming military cleanser will be a Caesar.

When I first registered to vote it was in NYC. It was 1966 and we had a Republican mayor, John V. Lindsay...a Republican Senatore, Jacob K. Javits...and a Republican governor, Nelson A. Rockefeller.

I decided to register as an independent and have never looked back.

How many Republicans voted against?

How many Democrats voted against?

Wanna bet against me?

I do not want to bet against you. What I will say is, if that happens, there will be a ton of people killed in the process. I wonder what the rest of the world will be doing? We all know they will be watching. The world could become a truly dark place, without the restraining influence of America.

The thing is, we’ve always known the Dems are the enemy. Now it’s clear (has been for some time, really) that the GOP is, as well.

Remember what Cruz told Rush:

“We talk about, “Hey, let’s get a show vote so we can go tell our constituents we’re doing something.”

Yup. Could even be a global nuclear war.

Hey, look, enjoy life now. It could end in an instant.

While I completely understand your point and I feel just about the same way, by doing so you and many others have cemented countless democratic victories.....

Again, I DO UNDERSTAND your feelings on this subject.

Agree there, truth be told, I feel the original 8 or 9 who came forward in support of Cruz and Lee are about the only ones to be semi-sure of.

The political expediency crowd along the lines of Toomey and Graham are easily spotted.

We do now know who are the blatant trash however.
There ain't no doubt about them, a step forward in that respect.
