Dear GOP: Been Nice Knowin', Ya. Don't Let the Door Hit Your Sorry....
self

Posted on 09/27/2013 11:23:12 AM PDT by DJ Frisat

Dear GOP,

You've pulled the football away from us for the last time. From now on, my default preference in ANY election is no longer Republican. I will vote for select individuals whom I think I can trust, not who feed me a line of B.S. and then back away when safely ensconced in office.

No yard signs. No contributions. No responding to polls. No personal campaigning among family and friends. No more holding my nose to vote for a moderate, RINO or 'the-lesser-of-two-evils'. I did that in an effort to avoid what I considered the worst-possible candidate for President ever foisted upon the country, and it failed twice. NEVER AGAIN. Be conservative and show sincere, healthy respect for the Constitution, and you have a chance to earn my vote. None others need reply.

I've never been a registered Republican, but as a conservative, that's the closest I could come to a party affiliation. NO MORE.

IF YOU THINK THE 'BASE' ABANDONED YOU IN THE 2012 ELECTIONS, YOU AIN'T SEEN NUTHIN' YET!

Sarah Palin has my support. Ted Cruz has my support and gratitude for his Herculean effort. A relative handful of others in the House and Senate get my support. That's about it.

Well one thing good came of this, we now know definitely who stands with us in the Senate (Not that many) and after the House gets done, we'll know definitely who stands with us there.

The brand Republican really means no more than Democrat now.
It's about individual conservative candidates now.

I have been a Republican since I first voted in 1960.”

Looks like we joined this madness about the same time. Can’t do anything for my generation but I will do what I can to make sure that my grandsons have a decent country to grow up in. Began this process by changing from a Republican to an Independent this morning.

I had it when Romney was nominated.

The party is infested with liberals. I have a hard time trusting those who claim to be conservative. Even if they are, the liberals run things in the Republican Party. Because of that, real conservative candidates don’t have a chance within the Republican Party.

If any real conservatives are left in the party, they will get my vote only if they leave the party and form/join a truly conservative third party.

I totally agree with you. So very disappointed that our Tea Party candidate Senator Ron Johnson bit the hand that fed him, and turned on us and sided with the likes of Dingy Harry. I let him know what I think, and so did many others.

Please add your remarks too.

That ship has sailed. The GOP liberals have the positions of power and control and taking this rotting corpse over isn’t going to be allowed to happen anymore than a majority vote against cloture was going to be allowed to happen.

Senators Cruz, Lee, Paul, etc... the time is coming for choosing soon, do you want to go down with the RMS GOP or head for a new party, a new second party. The timing must be right and you must take a huge swath of your GOP conservatives with you to have an impact. As Reagan said this is a time for choosing.

I’ve had it, too. Registered (I) a few years back and will only vote based on a person’s support of my American views. The GOP means nothing to me. Cruz is a person that I would vote for despite his party affiliation. Anyone valuing their GOP or Democrat Party status more than their representative status of We the People means they are sellouts that will always go against us.

Thank you for posting the RNC info. Just called, pressed “2” to be connected with the membership area, and respectfully requested to be removed from their call list and mailing lists, and explained that after todays actions by the old guard Republican’s that they no longer had my support.

I ended the call by asking that the fellow share my comments “up the line” to get the message to Party leaders that this is unacceptable.

You know what? It feels good.

I will only support those candidates that I feel represent my values and interests.

“Wanna bet against me?”

Nope.

Now we wonder, how will it go down? Peacefully? War? I cannot piece together a situation that allows it to happen peacefully.

Sorry Cherry, a bunch of those liberal RATS infest and control the Republican party. I am furious at liberals and right now the Republican party is infested with these vermin and they are not leaving, they are breeding, infecting and destroying the GOP. The GOP is on it’s death bed and there isn’t any saving it.

It’s time for a new second party.

that's what I've been doing since '08 been sending
$$ to locals..absolutely no $$ to the national orgs.
unfortunately that only drives the Nat. orgs. to the K-Street
et al..thus, moving them away from the grassroots/base..
I'm was tired of being ignored.

Have you ever considered that Republican elected leaders actual hate conservative voters more than Democrats do.

I agree -- as Rush says often, "The Republicans really wish they had another base." When Ted Cruz stands up to talk about what the other Republicans profess to believe; and, then gets raked over the coals for it, you pretty much know that the Republicans don't actually believe what they told you they believed. I also think that they are scared to death of what Ted Cruz represents -- which is, the Conservative base.

The Democrats never bad-talk their own people; and, their own people toe the line. Republicans talk a good game; but, then they never follow through. I've been duped one time too often by these guys, no more. I have turned in my voter registration (I live in the Seattle area) because I ended up so depressed by the election of 2012. And, part of that depression was realizing that my fellow Americans would put such an incompetent boob back into office.

The Republicans are never going to change. I hate to use the words "third party"; but, I am finally having to wonder if that is the only way to shake these guys up enough to change their behavior. I doubt it, and, I believe it would help the Dems. But, the Republicans seem to like to help the Dems; I just don't want to play anymore.

DITTO!!!! I committed after the last election that I will no longer “hold my nose” and vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Romney is a good man, but when he didn’t show up for the 3rd debate, I knew it was over.

I would vote for Ted Cruz if given the option, but don’t see myself voting for any Republican in my area.

Sadly, the staunchest conservative voices (Rush, Hannity, etc.) may be pissed now, but their track record is that they will support whoever the RINO’s select in ‘16 (Hey! How about McCain/Romney ticket in ‘16?! The “Conservative “ Dynamic Duo...).

They won’t even “consider” going 3rd party. Still believe somehow we can “win over” the Repussykin party. No offense, but it would be easier for conservatives to try to win over the Dimocrat party. We might lose there too, but at least we would be aligned with real fighters. . . (that would be a nice feeling for a change).
