LIVE Thread: Senate cloture vote. Guess the number of RINOs that vote to support "Dingy" Harry

Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?

Thune as well.... very disappointed in my senator.
I let him know that if he votes yes on cloture, I will support a primary candidate next time he is up for re-election...

The Supreme Court got it wrong as they have in the past. The redress is through correcting legislation

How can a potus unilaterally change the law of the land before it is even enacted and unliterally exempt the entire US congress, their staffs, and entire special interest groups from complying with it? I heard that there is some language in the law that allows the HSS to make regulatory clarifications as necessary to implement the law. That is where the additional twenty thousand pages of administrative regulations came from.

A vote for cloture is a vote against Cornyn in a primary. Period.

Love to hear a socialist like Bernie Sanders babble about what is democracy and the rule of law.
Worries about the GOP and its voting embarrassing the US in front of the world. This from a guy that has embarrassed the United States for like 30 years.
Screaming about the minimum wage now.

My guess is the GOPe is right now behind closed doors figuring our which safe Republicans can vote yes on cloture without being vulnerable in the next election. Then the safest 10-15 will vote yes and the others will be allowed to vote no. In my opinion, the GOPe is very happy with 47-49 Senate seats. That is enough to “be relevant” but not enough to be responsible for anything.
