Earlier this week, in an effort led by Sen. Ted Cruz, some of my Republican colleagues and I took to the Senate floor with the intent of making Washington listen. The American people have made it abundantly clear that they do not want Obamacare. In fact, a majority of elected officials, the same officials that voted to implement this health care mandate, do not want it, either.
I have a proposal. I have offered an amendment that would outlaw any special exemptions for government employees. This amendment requires all federal workers to purchase health insurance from the new Obamacare exchanges, instead of receiving taxpayer-funded subsidies.
I am also introducing a more broad constitutional amendment, which states that Congress shall make no law that treats citizens differently from the elites in the federal government.
My legislation and constitutional amendment will remind all elected officials that they are not above the law, and they are certainly not above the American people.

Supporting Mitch won’t do it, you fake
Because it is the single, most important attempt at undermining and ultimately destroying America. That and the Demonics must circle the wagons to protect their mentally deficient “messiah”. Duh!
Yup. It’s an Afro-Marxist coup d’etat. We’re living through one. The only question: how long will it remain “bloodless”?
Sorry loser Rand Paul, if you really don’t like Obamacare, then you’d better stand up like a man, and completely support Senator Ted Cruz in his fight against this.
Quit being mealy-mouthed about it.
Maybe its time for Americans to suffer for choices they make when voting...
And in the long term, the ones suffering most for their choices are the young know-it-all’s wanting change for reasons they do not know themselves, nor do they have any clues as to the consequences.
For the same reason a bunch of innocent Syrians came within a whisker of having volleys of cruise missiles rain down upon their heads.
To protect Obama’s massive ego from ever having to back down and say “I was w...wwwwr....www..wwwww....wwwwwwWRONG!”
The reason Obama-Care is soooo important to the Democrats is that they will forever be able to use it as a virtual slide control for voters. If they fall down in the polls, they can adjust the “benefit” slider up to catch a few more voters at the expense of the productive class, retaining their power forever. RINO Republican’s can continue to argue for sliding it down, also benefiting from donations from the productive class who will need “protection”. They will compromise and borrow the difference in our names.
I seem to recall that Rand Paul didn't support Cruz's actions and he said that it was pointless. Here he seems to be trying to say he was part of it. Was he for cloture before he was against it?
!
If you are willing to step back from the opposition of the worst piece of legislation ever passed, why would anyone want you re-elected anyway?
Even if their political calculus is right (and it is not), I would have a lot more respect for someone who went down fighting for the good of the country than someone who sat silent to save their own butt. For a change, go statesman on us - do what is right for the country and don't worry about yourself - truth is, NONE of you are that important to the body politic.
If FR had an ignore feature you would be a the top of my list. I hope you are MAN enough to publicly apologize to Paul when he votes against cloture today. I doubt it thou, since all you ever do is lie about Paul.
HANNITY: You're willing to take it to the mat. You're willing to stand with Cruz.
PAUL: I am.
Bashing one of the best conservatives in the Senate is all you do. Check out the following and keep in mind that Rand has been in the Senate far longer then our good Senators Cruz and Lee.
