"With reference to remarks made yesterday to an Italian radio program, I apologize if my words have generated controversy or misunderstanding, or if they hurt someone's sensitivity," Guido Barilla said in a statement. "In the interview I simply wished to underline the central role the woman plays within the family."

Do not bend to the gays.
Both meanings intended.
The pendulum will swing.

Yesterday he said he would not use a gay couple on his noodle boxes.
As far as I can see here he did not 'walk that back'.
BTW its funny to me how the MSM wastes no time correcting any unauthorized thoughts publicly expressed.

NEVER apologize for being right. Homosexuality is a perversion, an affront to God and Nature.....

Now that he has demonstrated his cowardice, I would urge heterosexuals to boycott his pasta. Sell it to the fags, chickensh_t. You’re so scared of them ...

A perfect example where it is not enough to tolerate homosexuality, as Mr. Barilla said in the iterview, but you must ACCEPT homosexuality as well.

Just wow!
I would have preferred that the president of this company not have made a statement that I wholeheartedly agree with.
But having made it and allowing the Gay Mafia to force him to cower and back off has created a bigger problem for him
I have a pantry-full of Barilla products in our pantry.
Out they go!
The calculus is simple. Which is the biggest market? The perverts? Or normal traditional families most of which are disgusted with aggressively militant deviants?

Doesn’t sound like a backdown to me. Sounds like he said “Sorry if you’re too sensitive to the truth. Mothers and fathers are best.”
To: barmag25
I just don’t understand why people are so intimidated by a bunch of sexual deviants. Why apologize or even qualify the original statement? He wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t believe it....good grief, OWN IT, and to hell with what the queers think.

This brought to you by ABC News.
This is the same "news organization" that has as one its top stories tonight on their nightly new, "How to save money when you go shopping".

That’s actually pretty clever, to highlight the blessing that women are. That is a big gotcha to the “liberals” (who stole that word from classical liberals anyhow?) who claim they are boosting for women, when really they are calling for the cheapening of women.

I don’t understand why people say things and then apologize
whats the point? All it does is give ammunition to the party or parties you disagree with. I think you should just keep your opinions to yourself unless you plan to stand by them when confronted.

I don’t think he walked back his beliefs or postition on the matter, he just apologized for possibly being too crass and offending sensibilities.

Some gays probably threatened to bomb their businesses and kill their families. I’m serious. It probably happened.
